Honestly I'm kind of frustrated with NECA's quality control. The first Reeve figure I got broke when I tried to move the arm, then the replacements both had messed up legs(one sticks out of the joint too far and the other has one leg that's too long, making it stand awkwardly). If there's one plus about Mattel(at least in my experience) is the manufacturing process is a little more competent and they're more durable overall.

Yeah, man, its going on a year since they were unveiled, hope they're able to finally get them out this year. Also it looks like Neca have plans for a Green Lantern as well.

Just contact NECA again. The one I bought my dad took a shelf dive in Feb 2017, and the leg broke off. I sent a picture to them on Twitter and they sent me a new one. They may still have some left, it's worth a try. Trust me, that's your best bet. Mattel isn't making one. If MAFEX makes one it'll cost 4x as much as NECAs.

It was in the background of a recent article about Neca.

Not sure if this is of any interest or not, but I just found these up here in Ontario, Canada.
I can't post pics or links 'cause I'm "too new." |

There are a few pics of Kilmer and Shipp here: Mattel's DC Multiverse [6 inch] - Page 498 - The Fwoosh Forums
Hope it's alright to post links to other toy forums. |

Still want these in 3.75, but that being said, I hope they do both Robin costumes from Batman Forever also.

It looks like a lot of the Kilmer Batman figures have the same issue with the exposed portion of the face not being fully painted.

My main problem with Kilmer Bats is that he has neck articulation which breaks up the look of a solid cowl

Flash is ugly as hell. His proportions are terrible and all over the place and I thought Mattel couldn't make uglier sculpt then the 2004 DCUC busted mold.
As for Batman, his proportions are way better, decent, though his legs are too long and he could have wider torso. His head look like a part of knockoff toy. Despite the gripes I still have about Mattel DC action figures, I have to admit they really step up their game and I think it does worth 30$ seeing the included stand (I would prefer more accessories instead). If Mattel just do one more push and make nicer sculpts and paint for the faces, I would actually buy their action figures.

Mattel's got toe joints now, but how much do you want to bet that they STILL don't have ankle pivots?

I fully agree! It’s one of the many reasons I like the NECA Keaton Batman and Batman Begins figures. When you add articulation to the cowl, it’s not only inaccurate to the movie, it just looks weird as hell. I mean his head looks tiny af! How in the world does Mattel not see this? Now I know some people want as much articulation as possible, but this is where articulation can ruin the sculpt.

I understand these to be “Premium Multiverse” but creeping the price point line to $30 is pushing it unless the ‘extras’ go beyond Hasbro’s current Marvel Legends offerings. Glad they FINALLY produced Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman. I expected her to originally debut with their 3.75 inch Multiverse with Keaton & Reeves. |

Maybe this is just how it has to be for a while since for Mattel, this is a new thing, and once the articulation schemes and everything become more common practice, the prices will fall in line with the non-premium prices.

The only real extra seems to be the hands and the stands....I was kind of expecting unmasked heads or maybe some accessories. Seeing that Kilmer figure with the picture stand is kind of disappointing, because the figure looks so different. It's almost like Mattel is saying "See how this looks nothing like the figure?" lol

The ears or whatever you want to call them on the batman cowl are much too thick and end up making the figure exceptionally doofy looking.
