The movie has been long gone for awhile now and they're just now releasing new stuff for it? I feel like this is ill timed. Was it so popular that they think this toy will sell well?

The release will likely coincide with the DVD/Blu-Ray release in the Fall. But NECA isn't a company that gets their stuff in stores to time with theatrical releases. and the fan base they are going after is the adult collectors market, so it will really only be fans of the Alien/Prometheus franchise who would be buying these anyway.

Prometheus was a terrible! Just another violent, Godless movie! The only thing from this line that I would actually consider buying is the pre-alien figure since it ties in with ALIEN. Prometheus doesn't compare to the Alien series!

Exactly. Gremlins, Rocky, Evil Dead, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. When were these movies released? NECA is definitely not going after the kiddies. I will be buying EVERYTHING they put out for Prometheus. |

I'll probably pick up the Trilobite, Engineer, and the Deacon as well as any other creatures they put out. Not too interested in the humans (maybe zombie Fifield).

I don't think you're THAT big an Alien fan if you don't know about the Space Jockeys, since they tie in with Alien. Are you sure you don't fast-forward through the slow parts in Alien? Also, eh, Prometheus was much more cerebral than Aliens, where the Xenos were transformed into cannon fodder, but hey, everyone has opinions. Anyways, I really liked Prometheus, ( Ties with Alien and Predators for my favorite Alien-verse film) so I'm probably getting David 8, The Engineer and Trilobite, the Space Jockey suit, and the Deacon. |

Annoying bickering posts, insults and flames all deleted. This thread is about the TOYS. If you cannot discuss these toys without resorting to insults, your posts will be deleted and you will receive warning/infractions.
