No prototypes yet, but hopefully I'll come across some from the 2000s that I have my eyes on, from various fandoms and origins.

I was very, very fortunate that a member of the Ark, Byrnes, alerted me to an eBay listing. I have spoken on my gratitude to him multiple times:

Lol yeah, Marvel has never quite been able make ol'Drew work...
I've explained the story before, but I joined this site years ago specifically to find the Bi-Beast proto after its cancellation was announced. I'd missed on a couple of Ebay auctions being out bid 2-3 times, then, never saw it again. I explained as much on a thread here and Byrnes, an exceedingly cool Arker, hit me up with a PM and linked an Ebay auction I'd somehow overlooked. It was in rough shape, as the original owner applied a custom paint that was pretty poor as was some of the light customizing they had performed - no offense to him or her. Even in the shape it was in, I was ecstatic to have the only real holy grail I've had as a collector (there were others, but I have them now and they were much easier to acquire than this initial one). I sent the semi-butchered proto to Anthony's Customs (who was pretty cool to me and a stand-up guy, despite the general opinion of him here) and he repaired the paint and added some details to make it look like my preferred look for classic Bi-Beast. I mostly leave it in state and have only snapped a handful of pics of it: I'd, no doubt, buy a new one, but this one will always be the grail that joining Toyark made possible...There's a Red King proto from the same period that I'd like to own, but I've only ever seen an auction for it on one occasion. |
