Looks horrible. Thankfully saves me $$. Queen Marlena... REALLY? I mean, c'mon... worthless character. So many other characters that actually DID something. Queen Marlena... grrrr.... a waste of plastic! Who next? The munchkin viking characters?
Cringer looks horrid too. Totally wasted potential. If they made Cringer articulated, or at least in his shaking/shivering pose prior to changing to Battle Cat, that's be one thing. Tis a sad day. Last edited by webz; 05-05-2011 at 12:18 AM.. |

The paint on the Marlena prototype doesn't look great. Cringer looks small amd the articulation is dissapointing.
But the thing is, 4H has only let me down once with this line (Tytus). With that outstanding track record (better than any other toyline ever), I'm willing to wait and make final judgement once they're in my hand. As for Marlena being a "worthless character"; that's the kind of opinion that forces toylines into making a thousand different variants of the same character. I'm sure you would rather have "Jungle Smash Bat-He-Man" or something but real fans need real characters to round out a beautifully collectible and playable toyline. "Worthless character"?? Really? C'mon. She did as much as Randor and heck of a lot more than Scare Glow or a crappy gimmick like Man-E-Faces. And if your one of those MOTU collectors that only buys the men, there's nothing wrong with that. Just give us a heads up first next time if you have that biase. Ram-man, Mekaneck, Sorceress, Mantenna, Rattlor, etc all should have figures before Marlena. Lessee... I can see it now: "epic battle between the Masters and Skeletor's forces... or.... a royal tea party? tee hee, tee hee!" Good grief! |

I have no problem with female characters. I like Teela, Evil Lyn, She-Ra, etc. I'd have no problem with Queen Marlena if Mattel were scraping the bottom of the barrel and it was a choice between Queen Marlena, Lizard-Man, and Orko's uncle Montork. Those characters exist to drain hardcore collectors out of their money, rather than they invest said money in gold or other precious commodities to protect against economic uncertainty.

It's not as if those more popular characters wouldn't be released as part of the monthly figure thing at some point anyway. |

Characters like Queen Marlena were not created just to drain hardcore collectors of anything. She was created in 1984 and this is her very first toy. Her creation was not some ingenius ploy by Mattel to get fans to spend $25 in a throwback line damn near 30 years later. You've been pushing it buddy, but your debate and opinion is seriously forfeit if you have to keep reaching like that. Supporting characters are made to advance storylines. I'm glad He-Man has a mother and wasn't emaculately produced only through Randor somehow. Gross. Supporting characters are also needed to advance the story in your playtime as well. Before your "Epic battle between the Masters and Skeletor's forces" commences, a plausible backdrop for said encounter could be Skeletor's crashing of "a royal teaparty". Never really thought I'd have to debate the awesomeness of Queen/Retro Cosmonaut Marlena. And on Mother's Day no less. Regardless, I'm stoked we'll finally have the core protagonist cast complete. I'll even buy 3 being she's the first MOTUC I want to display in both modes. Thank you Mattel and 4H. Best toyline ever! |

Hey man, easy on Man-E-Faces. I liked playing with him as a kid. Plus he earned a spot on Family Guy Prick Up Your Ears (Family Guy) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. If you don't like Family Guy, we cant be friends.
Didnt really notice that Cringer was out of scale. That sucks. Was kinda looking forward to having him. |

As far as Marlena, I'm excited that she finally gets a toy, and to have her as Queen and astronaut is icing on the cake. Last edited by Evantainment; 05-15-2011 at 06:53 PM.. |

I was actually able to pick one up at SDCC. Sad because I never actually got the Randor when he came out, now I have to wait for his reissue.
