Out of all the Philips CD-i systems? There are like 6-8 different model #'s made by Philips alone, some made by Philips/Magnaovx, some just by Magnavox, some 3rd party systems made by Sony, LG and some other more obscure companies for video game systems like Memorex and Kyocera. Weird companies you've never even heard of like DVS. Some models are portable. Which console is the rarest or sold the least units of them all?

I have the DVS brand CD-i and the Sony IVO portable CD-i. I know both of them are on the "rarer" end of the Cdi's, but I'm not sure if either of them is the "rarest."
I've heard of the Halcyon and Casio Loopy. I never heard of the Memorex VIS. If I had to guess overall, I'd think Vtech Creativision, Gamate, Cougar Boy, Bandai Pippin, Amiga CDTV / CD32, Entex Adventure Vision would have to be some of the more rare ones. There is also some weird variation/collaboration of the Sega Genesis, who teamed up with Aiwa, to make some kind of portable boombox/watchman TV/Radio/Sega Genesis. |

In regards to CD-i, I believe the rarest 'common' ones are the portable Philips 200 series models. But there are so many oddball small releases by various companies that I am not sure if anyone could single one CD-i model out.
As for the RAREST console period, that would, by far, be the RDI Halcyon. I have many console systems, including both a PiPPiN and Casio Loopy Gift Set mint in box, but I already have it set that I may never come close to owning a RDI Halcyon. |
