In an ideal world every character would have a unique mold with sculpted details and tons of character specific accessories but that just isn't the world we collect in. It has been demonstrated time and time again that Hasbro (now more than ever) will reuse the same heads for different characters and I am personally fine with it as long as it makes sense. Especially among females, I see alot of great reuse potential with what we have already seen from them. Here are a few of my ideas
Enchantress/Polaris out of Scarlet Witch I know the tiara is different on all of them but from what I can tell it varies on the characters individually depending on who is drawing them, so I think it is passable for all three. Jen Walters She Hulk from Black Cat Whatever digital sculpting they used to remove Luke Cage's goatee for Radioactive Man could be used to remove Black Cat's mask. The hair is great. Julia Capenter from Jessica Drew Spider Woman No brainer, really. Dark Ms Marvel Not really on topic, but please for the love of God Jim Lee Psylocke on the Storm body with the SDCC head! |

I can see the reuse of Scarlet Witch, but She Hulk seems bigger than Black Cat, I wouldn't want that reuse.

The bodies of Red She Hulk and Black Cat are different but the heads are actually very close to the same size, if anything Black Cat's is bigger. The problem comes with the neck of She Hulk being too long, but that could also be changed with the size and depth of the socket in the head.

I know it's not a Hasbro mold, but I can't help but continue to say that if they make a Dr. Srrange under Hasbro we're one step closer to both a Graviton and a Count Nefaria. I don't know if it would work as just basic repaints though.
Also I think a Dazzler could easily be made out of an Emma figure, Selene as well. I'm sure there's others but those are the main ones that pop into mind, along with your examples of Polaris and Enchantress (oddly enough they are among the two most requested ML as well, in poll after poll and with the relative ease to be done it's kind of mind boggling it hasn't been done yet.) |

As with any simple repaints, these are all fairly easy customs to pull off... you all should look into that. =)

The Scarlet Witch would be good to work on, but I was just happy to have one of the original run, hopefully I can get several of the upcoming one; I'd like to try my hand at making an Enchantress. But ultimately you're right, but it's just so much nicer to have it in the colored plastic than painting applications. |

I would greatly enjoy unique sculpts for all Marvel Legends figures. What I wouldn't enjoy is the price gouge that would follow were Hasbro to grant me my wish....now that I think of it, head sculpt variation shouldn't be that difficult. Many of Hasbro's recent sculpts feature removable heads. I imagine that sculpting a variety of heads can't be as costly as sculpting entire bodies. Food for thought...

I'm pretty sure the majority of custom folks aren't any good at it at first, if that makes you feel any better. I sure wasn't, and even now I'm always trying to learn something new technique wise. It pretty much boils down to whether you're cool sitting around and waiting for Hasbro to get around to certain characters, then risking not being happy with what they put out. I've done some customs to fill my collection and when Hasbro ended up doing an official release, just flipped the custom into another character I needed and bought Hasbro's if it was a good release. It's a fun hobby, and even if you don't go full on custom, learning basic techniques helps when you're just trying to fix up a Hasbro QC mistake.

I meant this thread to be a platform for suggestions as to which new characters could be pulled offusing existing or upcoming molds, so if anybody has any more suggestions I'd like to hear them. I've got a pretty narrow scope of collecting ML (X Men, females) and I'm sure there are tons more.

Just throwing out there for the Toy Biz mold - Angel makes a good base for a Justice, just have to find a good cape -This is what I did with my MU Angel. |

I did think of this if you minus the tattoos or scars , and holsters and use this body mold for luke cage seems to be ideal , i think |

Drax' buck is pretty much exclusive to him because of all the sculpted detail. But his more realistic build is superior to the new default big buck in Legends.

With all of the detail being taken off of Black Widows costume for the Maria Hill figure I think removing Drax's scars is possible. How about these?
I'm torn on which Dazzler I would prefer. |

This is just my personal opinion, but I would rather have a wave of all repaints then these swaps they keep doing. Maybe, with less swaps, we would get more waves?
