Was really hopeful they were going to go with something closer to the MVC2 look when they got to Iron Man.

Yeah, probably about that long ago, at least that I remember. Time to get that good old arms falling off action feature going again.

I’m exited that they chose this armor MK-37. Was not expecting that armor but I’m glad because neither Figma nor SHF has created one.

Pretty sure this is Amazing Yamaguchi, Deathstroke for example (who is displayed in the back) also had "Figure Complex" printed on his title card when he was revealed.
Seems silly to me to continue a different line of Marvel figures, also, this figure seems very stylized and the crazy accessories which aren't specifically based on anything scream "Amazing Yamaguchi" to me. |

It seems to me this may not be AY, actually. They have produced a few Iron Man figures so far, the Figure Complex title was in all of them, along with the Mark/Armour name they were basing their figure off......
.... .....just like in this case. The AY line is never specifying which version of the character we are getting (at least not in the "first" wave of releases), they are just releasing them as "Marvel's Wolverine/Spiderman etc". |

Also, In this case AY has to specify because there are 50 armors. A lot of the look alike so, people need to know what armor they’re getting. Again, this is just my opinion and I’m in no way picking on you. You could be right. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Well, I just did a little more research and MarvelousNews is also calling it AY Kaiyodo. Here are some photos of the article I found.

I was hoping for something new too. That MK-45 they did was actually the best proportioned IM they've ever made IMO. If they would've just done different armors than those SHF of Figma never made I would've been so happy. Still waiting on Comicave to see if they're going to release that MK-39 or not.

Looks like those blast mechanisms can be used for the back and legs as well as the arms. Slick.

What you posted originally makes more sense that it's probably AY. All the complex revo ones were movie based iirc. I wouldn't necessarily go by Marvelousnews cos they might just be using Amazing Yamaguchi interchangeably with Revoltech.

True. So, Comicave has cancelled in the past the figures that they promised to release. MK’s 7, 21 and 39. Just recently they changed their minds and decided to go ahead and release them but MK-7 should’ve been last month and 21 this month and nothing yet again. I actually called BBTS yesterday concerning that issue and all they told me was that as of now they haven’t cancelled, so...fingers crossed that soon. But I’m not holding my breath.
And you know why bbts says Hulkbuster is pre-order? That might have been the last thing I remember them actually releasing. |

Oh, I know all about cancellations and pushing back dates. I had no idea they were still planning on doing those. They better hurry their asses up! Where did you get this info btw? Their site looks pretty unupdated. I've been wanting to hear something on their True Material Suicide Squad figs as well.
And you know why bbts says Hulkbuster is pre-order? That might have been the last thing I remember them actually releasing. As for the Hulkbuster, it makes no sense to me too because that was released in Japan once before for sure. Unless they are re-releasing because they didn’t make enough figures maybe but I really don’t know and I don’t have one myself. Let me see if I can find that article of the figures being shown again and I’ll post a link.

So, it was Toyfair 2018. They were displayed after they had been canceled.

I just found that myself and remembered looking at that link from the Diamond booth post. Brain not remember good. Thanks though.
I wonder if these same guys are all carried over from Play Imaginative on the business side of the company. They sure do not seem like they know what they’re doing. |
