The figure itself looks all around better than the first version IMO. The joints aren't as obvious / sculpt-breaking, and it has even more articulation.

The accessories are nice, I like the Sais and how they can store in the sword sheaths.

The guns though - weird. So it's not a DC-exclusive thing. I mean, we already had a Deadpool from Hasbro that had fantasy guns and realistic ones glued into its holsters, but... can we really not get comic book figures with actual guns anymore? That's so weird.

I have to admit though, this reminds me of the cartoons I watched as a kid, where the bad guys had all the stabby things to fight (without hitting anyone of course) but as soon as they pulled out guns it was always futuristic laser pistols and rifles. I kind if like this figure just for that.

Those guns though, they look like laser toy guns.

Toy makers like to insult the intellect of it's buyers by making them think guns are evil living things that jump off the table & shoot people but their toyetic funny guns are safe & only tickle people when they're hit. I always replace the crap guns that Hasbro includes with their figures with realistic replica guns that exist. Got an order from Mauraders gun runners coming in as I speak. No Nerf guns for my gun toting characters.

I tend to stay away from Revoltech because of those massive ball joints all over the bodies are such an eye-sore... but they did a great job of hiding them- This guy may just end up center of the DP shelf

Guns aside, this looks like a much better figure. Can't believe the first one came out like 5 years ago already haha, geez time flies.

This seems to line up with what Marvel Legends has been doing for a while, which is more "try to do fewer real guns, replace them with like laser guns etc. if you need to; not outright prohibited though", as opposed to DC's much starker "No Guns Period."

I don't like how they do the shoulder joints... will the small revoltech ball joint and like a shoulder cover flap design. I mean it is fine if that part happens to be black, but otherwise it looks awful IMO.

I agree. I am glad he at least has guns. It could also be a throwback to the 90's comic's where guns were futuristic looking. Realistic guns would look out of place when you stand Deadpool next to Yamaguchi Cable who also comes with futuristic looking guns. So there is also that.

I dig the purple handle sai. Deadpool has some on the cover of Cable & Deadpool issue 15.

Funny you should say that, official Kaiyodo site describes them as toy guns. They are however based on the guns used on the cover of X-Force #11.

Version 1 came with some standard looking pistols. You can always use those with this ver.2
