I understand why it is done the way it is, but the separation in the legs to allow articulation really messes up the flow of the figure.

Definitely Awesome that they finally got around to making a Kenshin!
Hope they follow up with a Sannosuke and Saito. I have a minor gripe with the face sculpt. Kenshin's face is iconic and the shots of the face look rather generic, not really show accurate. Would have been really a bonus to have that "Oro" facial expression too. |

Ummm...well, in my opinion, this figure is just off in sooo many ways. It hardly looks like Kenshin (that's mostly the face sculpt of course), and the odd articulation/cuts just mess up the whole "look" of the figure.
I love Rurouni Kenshin, but I'll definitely be passing on these Revos. Max Factory's figma line is always pretty much superior to Kaiyodo's Revoltech when it comes to actual human figures. I like how they're trying to expand with variety, but...yeah, Yamaguchi should stick to sculpting mechs - absolutely no offense to Mr. Yamaguchi of course! Looks enough like him to me(mostly his serious look though) and i don't mind the cuts TOO much, also, maybe he's based on art of the redo of the show thats being done?

I dunno, I'm just not feelin' the "Himura Kenshin" vibe from it, nor from the Battousai ver. (doesn't look like it's based off anything from the manga or anime series/OVAs) , poses do look great though. It's just when I get up close it's like *ack!* "What happened to your face?!" Ah, don't mind me and my annoying gripes.... |
