Still on the fence, especially as someone whose second figure that started my collection was a Revo, they've come a long way. The Magnet feature is pretty cool, I guess I just want a leaner Magneto. I don't mind the joint stuff because after a while you learn how to deal with Revos (due to all the cool custom stuff you can do) they're still great figures, and I love my Spidey and Gwen, so fun to mess with.
Waiting patiently for that Cap preorder.

If there's official inspiration for this headsculpt I'd love to see it, because this looks like no Magneto I've ever seen. |

It looks quite a lot with Jim Lee's interpretation of Magneto.

Maybe I am too old school, but the faces do look like Magneto to me.
Still trying to decide if I like or not the huge sized thigh (kind of works for the character) On the other hand, I saw their Captain America, he also uses that type of thigh and honestly, it looks too disproportionate. |

I'm all about revoltech. Been a fan of them for a long time and I'm glad they're finally getting popular in the US.

This figure looks incredible. However, the specific joint set-up, and the detail of Revoltech stuff has always made it hard to see integrating them into my regular collections.
People who like the figure will probably have to get it for that reason alone. It just wouldn't look right next to a ML imo. |

I only recently decided to assemble a full on 90s animated show style X-Men lineup from a mix of Select and Legends figures so it's a good thing I haven't opened the Select Magneto yet as this guy absolutely has to join the collection and I don't have space for doubles. Guess it's back on eBay for the select one but I really want to keep the base though...
I hope they do the whole X-men lineup. Sabertooth has to come next and just imagine a super bulky, mega articulated Juggernaut from these guys! |

Waiting patiently for that Cap preorder. Even if they went with the MvC2 aesthetic, he still looks taller in-game than what I see in the pictures. So yeah, as much as I love the Amazing Yamaguchi line, I m still very indecisive about this and will wait for the reviews to pop up before making a move..... :/ |

I wasnt interested in this at all but the display options that magnetic hands offer are endless... I could get some little shrapnel pieces or iron dust and make some really cool looking visuals. Really considering it now...
EDIT: Decided to PO it. Not sure if I'll keep it but its very appealing and I dont think we'll get another Magneto with magnet hands any time soon. Last edited by Toonstrack; 08-04-2017 at 09:43 AM.. |

After seeing more pics of it on BBTS I decided not to get this. The accessories are cool and the poses he can pull off will be great but it won't mix well with my ML X-Men and he's got thunder thighs.

How do you know it won't mix well? It certainly has to mix far better than that garbage Toy Biz Magneto.

They know dynamic alright.
Even their neutral poses look dynamic.

I love my Deadpool, but those shoulder joints can be weird to position sometimes.

Thought I'd weigh in on this line...
I counted somewhere in the neighborhood of 1300-1400 superhero figures on my shelves, from 3.75"-18" (give or take some outliers). I was on the fence about this design, so I picked up Spidey...then Wolfie...then Magneto...then Cap. They are highly stylized, of course. Cap looks like a linebacker. But the paint ops are excellent and the extra goodies are appreciated, including versatile stands. These are for adult collectors, of course. I'd say their play value is zero. These seem very fragile and destined to be posed in any one of a million ways. Just getting them unpacked and assembled (where necessary) is nerve wracking. There are precious few English instructions. I was certain I'd break something, but managed to avoid that tragedy. My Cap has a wonky belt that won't seem to stay "in place" and I may need to resort to a drop of super-glue that shouldn't impact his articulation. Also I noticed that the 2 TINY pieces that form the handle to his shield are actually keyed differently on the back of his shield. A bit too nuanced, IMO. Unless Kirby FF or original X-men sets are forthcoming, I doubt I'll get any more of these...but I'm not unhappy with these purchases. Last edited by rann; 04-16-2018 at 01:23 PM.. |

Hate to bump this old thread, but just decided to get in on the revoltech marvel line and start collecting. Have venom and carnage on the way but picked up magneto for $62 shipped on amazon.
Question for those of you who might know these things, but how can i tell if the magneto I received is a knock off from China or not? The packaging is supposed to be New but the side flaps are open, no stickers seaing the package shut. Is this normal? Also, I feel like the facial expressions look a bit wonky. Maybe its just me and its fine. But if anyone knows specifically how to tell if this mags figure is a knockoff, id appreciate it. |
