I know that a lot of people are already talking about how they have found G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra toys at Targets and now I'm one of them! Woo Hoo!!! Anyone living in Florida, talking to you CharIJoe, will probable be able to find them at Targets.
They had multiples of each character from what I'm guessing is Wave 1: Snake Eyes, Duke, Baroness, Storm Shadow, Destro and Neo-Viper. They also had some of the smaller vehicles: Snake Trax ATV, some cool-looking Drill vehicle, a snow mobile and the Armadillo tank. All vehicles come with a figure. The figures were $7.99 each and the vehicles were a little pricey at $15.99 each (I think they should be about $12 each. I only bought Destro (awesome, and is an exceptional starting point for a Red Skull custom) and Baroness figures and the Snake Trax ATV vehicle that comes with Scrap-Iron. I like the figures very much and was sorely tempted to buy the Neo-Viper and the Drill vehicle, but it comes with a lousy repainted Croc Master so I couldn't justify spending the loot. I originally planned on buying Snake Eyes but didn't like how the figure turned out, especially the head with the molded mouth. I'll just wait to pick up the Paris Pursuit figure, which I believe uses the Resolute mold for the upper half of the figure. The packaging is okay but I really miss the retro cards. I really enjoyed the stackable aspect that made them so easy to store. These new cards don't stack together as nicely. I checked TRU as well, but all they had were the Duke and Snake Eyes Tough Troopers. Pics attached. |

I picked up Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes tonight, when the stuff was out in full force. It broke my heart to turn away the mole, one of the few things I really wanted. And Paris Pursuit SS looked GREAT

Does the Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes use the Resolute mold? And I thought the Mole vehicle was awesome, too. I just didn't like the Terra-Viper that came with it.
Where did you find your stuff? Target? And you said before that you found Shipwreck. What other figures did they show on the back of the card? |

*Pictures coming shortly*
I found SE at Target today, the endcap was set up for ROC stuff, including all vehicles except for the Hummer thing. The body isn't the same as the resolute, which is unfortunate. I'll be buying the regular SE figure from the first wave when I go to TRU on Saturday, assuming they'll have stuff up. Then, I'll swap the head, because the SE I got has a great head. In case you didn't know, the Paris Pursuit also has the trench coat and unique arms. As for Shipwreck, the other characters were Ripcord, Scarlett, Heavy Duty, Breaker, Neo Viper Commando and Zartan. SE has Duke, Scarlett in her uniform, Cobra Commander(which looks pretty bad in person), Paris Pursuit SS and the Ice Viper(again, looks VERY bad in person IMO) |

All vehicles, huh? I really want that Cobra Hummer. And maybe the Night Raven, too. Depends on cash flow when I see it. I used to want the Pit, but the more I look at the pics the less I want it. I recently noticed that some of the elements are nothing more than folded cardboard. That's fine for some homemade stuff, but not for a $100 vehicle.

The Pit was one of the only ones that was missing. In case I'm just talking out my rear end(which could be since I've been paying less attention to ROC stuff) they at least they had all vehicles I had heard about for wave 1. I've been in kind of a mad dash to figure out which things are coming out when lately because a lot of the figs look very neat to me EDIT: As Shin said, Night Raven is $40-45 not $100(thank god) Last edited by scarecrow; 07-03-2009 at 12:54 PM.. |

The Night Raven is $100 too? Damn! I thought it would be cheaper. Don't know if I'll be getting that then. Maybe if it ever makes it to clearance.
Shipwreck looks badass! I'll have to get him when I see him. I see what you mean about the SE you have there. I actually like it a lot. The head is definitely better than the normal version. |

Shipwreck is great! I was totally against buying him at first because I think the body armor just looks wrong on such a skinny physique. However, I slapped on some gear(Comic Pack Hawk's) and he looks awesome now.
I swapped Shipwreck and SE's heads a moment ago, and SE's head sits pretty low to his shoulders, so I'm hoping it goes on right on the wave 1 SE's body. He looked like he had no neck when using Shipwreck's body! Last edited by scarecrow; 07-03-2009 at 12:54 PM.. |

Also, the visor goes up on Snake Eyes though it takes a little bit of force. Underneath is the unpainted sculpted eyes I'm sure you've all seen.
Any word on why this part went unpainted? |

My good camera is unavailable at the moment and the one I have is being a bitch about taking clear photos of the face.. So after some searching here is the only thread I can find with a pic of the face:
ROC Snake Eyes Black Resolute Repaint Figure IN HAND PICS. - HissTank.com - G.I. Joe P.S. Damn can I not wait for the Resolute body/ROC head Snake Eyes. |

He was in abundance, I think. There was only one of wave 1 SE though.
I'm getting Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow next though. That figure just looks awesome. I love the streamlined suit that he has on, and a maskless Storm Shadow in an already huge army of the exact same SS style-wise is welcome for sure. |

Another score today. Went back to Target this morning and they had more GI Joe: Rise of Cobra stuff out on the shelf. The whole end cap was full of stuff. I snapped a couple pics with my camera phone in store and then some better ones when I got home.
Target seemed pretty well stocked on the figures and vehicles. They also had Combat Heroes and some role playing Snake Eyes stuff. They had almost all the figures from at least the first 2 or 3 waves it seemed like. Duke, Ripcord, Snake Eyes, Heavy Duty, Shipwreck, Breaker, Scarlett, Sgt. Stone, Cover Girl, Baroness, Storm Shadow, Destro, Neo-Viper, Cobra Viper Commando and Zartan. They were all there. No sign of Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes or Cobra Commander. As far as vehicles go, they had all the small ones, the Steel Crusher A.P.V., Cobra Gunship and Night Raven. I really wanted to get the Cobra Gunship but since I was for sure getting the Steel Crusher I couldn't afford another vehicle. Steel Crusher and Gunship were $24.99 each. Night Raven was $39.99. Smaller vehicles were $15.99. I absolutely love the Cobra Steel Crusher. It has a nice sculpt and weight to it. The wheels are actual rubber. The doors open and the figures fit inside nicely. The top slides forward revealing a pop-up gun that shoots missiles and there is flip-down windshield armor. There are also side doors that flip down revealing more missiles. Overall a very cool vehicle. I highly recommend it. Hopefully I can get the Cobra Gunship soon. Pics attached (I haven't put the stickers on the Steel Crusher yet) |

Awesome. How is the Nitro-Viper that came with the Steel Crusher? I want that set really bad.. I may have to buy it if I come across it despite the price tag.
Sorry about not finding the Paris Pursuit SE. I'm surprised there were no Cobra Commanders though, it just doesn't look like a figure that'll be that great. |

I want the Night Raven also but with a $100 price tag there's just no way.

Thanks Shin. I'm gonna have to get that pack for that Snake Eyes. The Cobra Gunship is next on my list.

The Nitro-Viper is actually pretty cool. He has a real simple design to him, all in blue with a drop-down visor. I actually like him a lot and the simplicity of his outfit. It is a great set.
