It's about time!
I hope they space these out enough so I can pick up each of the variants as well. I'm absolutely loving the slimmed down design of this figure. It looks great while not necessarily rendering my EMSIA RX-78's obsolete. I can't wait to get ahold of Casval's and the G-3! |

Finally I can replace my EMIS RX-78-2!! I've been looking for a suitable replacement seeing as how the years haven't been to kind to my old work horse. I was originally thinking one of the Fix line figures would do but ever since getting the Unicorn Damashii my opinion has changed for good reasons!

With that said, the Metal Composite Unicorn looks like a LOT of fun to pose however... Robot Damashii is a line of mecha action figures with ABS, POM, & PVC. Compared to MSiA! it uses more ABS whereas the latter was predominantly made from PVC, which is prone to warping.

From my reliable sources Wikipedia and Mahq.net, the G3 was supposed to be Amuro's Gundam replacement after he left Jaburo in the novel. In regular canon, it was just to test the new magnetic joints to be used on the RX-78-2. Its supposedly made out of the surviving Gundam parts on the Trojan Horse from Side 7 or whichever Colony it was.
And dude I was at a Con and this guy bought the Unicorn FIX. I had a fangasm when he let me mess around with it. It was a combination of leftover part and the thrashed RX-78-2. G3's always been my favorite variant of the first Gundam, but hell yeah Shin, bring on the Full Armor!!! |

Lucky you man, I only saw the Metal Composite Unicorn in the box! $185 was the lowest I saw it for at the last con I went to. A dealer was selling the 1/144 SHCMpro for $80. I passed on both but man the SHCM looked sweet. Quote:
God damn it...I want an RGM-79N GM Custom from 0083. Hell 0083 never really got great action figures..the MSiA! were just decent. I WANT 0083 SIDE MS!

Ah, thanks for the summary. Hmm. G3 always looked pretty cool. Bandai seems to love it too.

I'd love any of the 0083 suits Damashii style. Or even cooler 08th MS Team Damashii figures. I'd love an Ez-8 Custom RX-79 [G]!

Ez-8 is one of the greatest... But what I really want is a plain old Zaku II. Considering the limits these figures push, a Damashii Zaku would probably be the coolest figure ever... And I'd have to buy the countless variants.

Lol tank, flipper, construction, recon, trainer... the list goes on! They can make so many variations if they do make either a Zaku or the GM.
