Ha....Got Eeemm....in the mail today. I looked at both of them like..did i REALLY need two michael jackson figures..lol...though i did want the smooth criminal one for awhile. I'm looking at the Thriller one like....'why did they give him extra white people hands' ..i know he was super light skinned by one point in his life but damn... then i saw they were to put on other figures to "dance"...heh The deciding factor here was that it came with the Zombie face. Awwwwww...only if there was an Ola Rae figure to go with it. ((as i seriously show my age)) I"m always like (with the exception of new releases)....**okay i'm only gonna buy THIS LAST THING** too bad that last thing is always the next last thing too....smh

Haha, I just noticed that Hulk in this picture looks like he has bikini top tan lines LOL!
Just some information regarding the "white people hands". MJ actually had a disease called vitiligo. It causes the pigment producing molecules in the skin to die which gives it that pale white appearance. The real reason he started wearing the glove was because it started on his hand and he wanted to cover it up. Still kind of an odd additional piece to include. |

Michael was a complicated individual so I wont dare try to break it down on a chat board about toys...BUT...i do believe his actual complexion was due to....BOTH... As i was looking at the Smooth Criminal figure (and failing at trying to recreate dance moves from the video), I realized the action figure is actually LIGHTER in complexion than he was at that point in his life....but shit...what other figure in history would ever have that issue. And yeah...the "white" hands were definitely a strange addition (2 sets of them) especially because....lets say..the majority of dancers/actors with him in the video were Caucasian ( a fact that I have no facts to support)...THEY WERE STILL ZOMBIES SO THEY STILL WOULD NOT MATCH!!!! Grey would have made more sense.

i'm familiar with the condition as well as it supposedly being the cause of his lightened skin complexion. I know it was thought by some that this was solely the cause of his lightened complexion in the latter portion of his life. I know others believed it to be simply for the fact that he wanted to lessen his African American characteristics/features(bleaching), in favor of more Caucasian looking ones.

Figured I'd stumble upon you here on this thread as one of only two (so far) people posting their pics here, lol!
Anyway, I'm looking for good comparison pictures of the Iron Man, Mark VII, full spec Figma figure with some Marvel Legends...You wouldn't by chance be able to oblige, would you? |

Yes, the Figma MK VII...I love that fig. It is one (if not the) tallest of all the IM's combined (SHF, Figma, Revol...etc...). Here ya go...a little Deadpool old & new ML comparison as well as Cyclops amd MS Marvel. BTW...Cyclops is being a perfect gentleman on that 2nd pic, Lol... |
