So i got hooked on MU 3+ weeks ago when Target was running their BOGO free sale and I've seen you guys mention TRU where they did 2 for $11. My question is for those who have been collecting for a while: How frequent are these sales? Are they regular or once in a great while? How many times since the line was intro'd have you seen sales like this?
I'm just trying to plan my purchases, and wondering if I should wait on some figures to be on sale like the Target sale, because there are some i'll jump on at regular price no doubt Any info would be helpful thanks |

I'd say they run those sales every couple of months. I'm not sure why people tend to forget to check forums for MU and you can usually pick up most for around 5 bucks.

Could you elaborate what you mean check the forums? I joined this forum because I thought I could gain insight on where to find figs, to try to trade and just enjoy the hobby of collecting. I have attempted a couple of trades but folks have backed out, and while i have no hard feelings, it is kind of daunting. just saying

He means the Marvel forums here. Trades happen from the posts people put up showing off what they just got or in the sighting thread. You can also go threw wants lists and Buy Sell Trade lists. I'd love it if we had a chat. I have a couple of trades going on and one more I'm trying to get going. You just gotta get out there and make offers.
I understand it can get discouraging when trades fall appart or you don't get what you want. I took a break and now I'm right back in it. Just keep reading and posting and the trades will come my friend.

yeah patience is key with these figures because with the exception of a few figs most keep getting re-released in revision cases, just keep your eyes on the forums and we usually give each other a heads up. Ive seen when a sale pops up the "Look at what i just got" thread blows up lol

I pre order most of my toys online and feel like stores only ever have peg-warmers by the time the sale starts.

KingLouie731 is a new collector, so I suggest he enjoys it while it lasts.
Eventually his collection will catch up with the store's inventory during a sale. |

The recent sale at my Target had all MU and MU movie figs at $6.99, now they are back to $9.19 a piece.
Iron Man 2 figs are nearly 10 dollars 2 years later....ridiculous.

TRU runs that 2 for $11 deal pretty frequently, but I haven't seen that Target BOGO sale any other time that last month.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. They even raised the basic GL movie figures to that same price.
