I freaking love Sandy Collora's work. Can't believe he's getting into figures now. Shallow Water looked like a fun short too.

I have the 3 versions in that style and started a Sandy custom from a GI Joe figure using a MTF head. I would have much preferred these to be 1:18 scale I will still support them and use them as giants in my collection because I love supporting small independent companies. |

He does have some 3 3/4" retro figures for Shallow Water he did a while back. There are still some available from his online store

I backed this last night, pledged the One Armed Shark Hunter for $55, you get a figure and a weapons pack. Plus he's including a game piece for everyone that pledges to this campaign for his next project, and arena style gladiator board game, that sounds awesome too. Pretty awesome stuff, really getting some awesome stuffs from Kickstarter lately.

This seems really cool at first, but did anyone else notice this paragraph?
"The figures have 11 points of articulation, but here's the cool thing; though the sculpting and approach to the design of these action figures is very contemporary and detail oriented, the way the production and articulation has been engineered, is very old school. The torso will be made of hollow vinyl and strung together very much like a MEGO figure, allowing for an incredible range of motion and pose-ability, that you don't see a lot these days in most action figures. It's bringing back a little of that 70's magic and mixing it with a level of sculptural detail that was rarely seen in that era. In my opinion, this is truly the best of both worlds. It also prevents a lot of the breakage you see in the jointed areas of some figure lines out there, that basically make them more like statues instead of a poseable figure. The range of motion and articulation in these figures easily equals or surpasses a lot of what's being done nowadays, and it's achieved with less joints." Sandy Collora's a really interesting filmmaker, but it's clear he knows nothing about toys. Last edited by Gojira Prime; 07-28-2017 at 12:28 PM.. |

I don't understand why they made such detailed figures then gave them bad articulation

Still, more articulation than Marvel Legends. 3.75" figures.
I hope this gets funded for the fans of it. I am always happy when independent toy companies make it happen. I'm sure it will reach the goal as the film itself was funded on kickstarter as well.

These look nice, except for the legs - where they join the waist it looks rather unnatural, as if their waist was too narrow and the sockets look toy-like - odd because the shoulders attach perfectly.
I might get one or two. |

That's great news. It was always my intention to add these figures to my Mythic Legions collection.
