Only weird thing is that this figure seems to have almost a flat chest for a female figure lol! If someone popped the head for a male head, It could easily pass for a male character. So that, in my opinion, is poor design.
Other than that, I like this face sculpt better than a Larson sculpt. Me thinks it looks much nicer Last edited by ddarko; 12-01-2018 at 12:03 PM.. |

How is it the entire thread is just talking about how a piece of plastic is more attractive than the actress it's meant to look like?
We're better than this Arkers. |

It's kinda important for a female figure to look feminine.

Not at all. What's important is that a female figure resembles the person it portrays. This figure looks like Brie Larson in a suit, as it should. Her body looks like that.
I don't want to imply that that's what you meant to say, but if a collector on an internet toy forum writes "female figures should look feminine" it translate into "boobs and butt aren't big enough, waist is too big" to me. Why should this be a thing? Can't a toy company whose main deal is accuracy portray a character accurately? Is your need for a "feminine" figure more important? I don’t think so. I'd rather get figures that portray body shapes in a realistic way. That doesn’t mean I'm not down for feminine looking figures, if the character really has big breasts and a wasp waist then the figure should mirror that. But don’t artificially enhance a woman’s features just so that her plastic clone looks "feminine". Let’s look at the flipside: If they made a figure of a character like – let’s say the Riddler from Batman. A very average body build, slender and tall. Would you like to have a Riddler figure that looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger? Because a male figure should look "masculine", right? What’s more masculine than muscles on top of muscles? And then you would say that that figure is garbage because when did the Riddler ever look like that. By the way, I’m looking forward to someone posting a comic book panel with a buff Riddler, it has to have happened over the years I’m sure. But you guys get the point I’m trying to make here. Anyways, just my opinion on the matter, you’re all free to like or dislike the figure for your own reasons. Just think about how we’re all talking about a person here before you drop stuff like "the figure looks hotter than her real counterpart". |

I think this looks pretty good. It's a close enough likeness without being eerily "Hot Toys accurate" (those still weird me out). Proportions fit, and she's not going to be suffering from a backache after beating up Thanos because of imbalanced 34HH wobbling freely in front of her.
That being said, the "boobs be small" outrage is kinda weird, ESPECIALLY given today's political climate.

I agree, it is indeed important to faithfully represent the source material (whatever that may be, thats a different story). In this case, they didnt. I dont know why we arent supposed to judge that in your opinion........ |

How is commenting on the resemblance of the figure not relevant or innappropiatte ? I mean....they made a figure that doesnt really look like the actress (facially). Is it partial resemblance ? Sure. But, imo, they kinda failed to get it right and created a better looking face.

That said, I think I'll stick with the Marvel Legends version. Lower price and it'll scale better with the rest of my MCU Marvel Legends. |

Now if we started measuring the worth of persons only in terms of their physical appearance, then that is indeed unacceptable. But I don’t think we went there in this thread..... Last edited by ddarko; 12-03-2018 at 08:56 AM.. |

But when that so and so is a hunk of plastic meant to represent a person, saying it's more attractive than the person seems...off.

The face looks nothing like Brie Larson, very disappointing considering Figuart's previous works. For once, I think the Hasbro one looks closer. Just as well, save me some money!
Since this is general release, then I suspect the green suit version will be P-Bandai exclusive. As for scale, I find my Figuarts Black Widow scales really well with other Marvel Legends, since Scarlet Johannson is shorter than everyone else anyway. Any updates on this? Originally said March 2019 release, but I have seen ZERO pre-orders for this or any current info. And obviously its march 2019 lol.

In Japan, it's due out at the end of the month. Pre-orders went up some time ago. But it seems a lot of places are sold out or have stopped taking orders.
