WBCollect has every All New X-Men figs for sale separately. Not a fan of the old suit X-Men. They look too dorky.
Thinking of getting Iceman. WBCOLLECT.COM Nova GOTG 6" is back up for pre-order on Amazon. Amazon.com: Marvel Guardians of The Galaxy Marvel's Nova Figure, 6-Inch: Toys & Games The metallic paint on him looks sick but I still don't want him. Waiting for a Sam Alexander Nova...which might be a while. But I am debating on whether I should buy the set now as opposed to scrambling to find BAF parts like I did with Mandroid. I suspect that right arm for Groot will be a pain in the butt to find once resellers start thinking Nova is worth $50 bucks ($30 for Nova, $20 for the BAF arm). Ughh...decisions... |

Screw it. Bit the bullet and bought all 6. I'd rather do this than drive around like a maniac looking for them when they come out or begging for BAF parts.
I wonder if they'll lower the price in June. I noticed this at checkout.

Just finalized a custom with Loose Collector for a Planet/King Hulk. Been wanting this to be done for 2 years now. I cant wait. Real Leather, Real Metal Sword, Axe, Shield and real Rubber on the soles of his shoes.

I dont have any 24 hour ones around here but I would totally show up at opening if I knew what day to go on, is it just luck of the draw knowing which day they get them?

WM stocks the shelves with whatever comes in that day, as long as it's got shelf space and/ or if the product has a specific date to stock the item (eg. Cap. Infinite has yet to be put on the shelves in my city, but they have it in the store room) Canada can be such a cold place sometimes...

That WWH custom is EPIC. I'm finding out as I do more customs that I prefer crafting accessories out of real materials as opposed to sculpting them, so I'm totally down with how that custom turned out.

Thanx Bro.
This is what he will look like mainly. Mine will differ a bit with having a removable Control Bolt and a Shield and being able to hold his Sword. Using real material item as opposed to sculpting them is what I prefer but the larger Characters are a lot easier to do that too than the smaller ones.

Guardians of Galaxy is due out(really?) Capt America can't be found. Most Spiderman seems to be selling well despite not being out yet and to me X-Men is bigger/better than both of them. A line of Legends based on the movie would do awesome, would be my guess. I think Hasbro is missing out on this one big time. Who wouldn't want a Blue Mystique/Jennifer Lawrence(variation) Legends style figure. Another cool thing they could do is have old/new characters for variations.

but a few characters that really need new figures are Storm, Iceman and especially Kitty Pryde.

This would have been an excellent time for Hasbro to capitalize on a popular brand, I wonder if they were 'too busy' with other lines to make a two wave series for the movie? If you have seen the trailer, it seems like there will be a lot of X-Men and their villains in it, even if they are just cameo appearances. And even if half of the possible figures were movie versions, there would have been a great opportunity to make/ remake some fan favourite comic styled. There's no telling if we're getting figures for any future mutant movie, and this seems like a lost opportunity to get a new Magneto, Polaris, Rogue, Bishop, Cable, etc, etc. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at a ML boardroom meeting lol

Hopefully we get some figures for X-Men Apocalypse.
Its kind of crazy how Marvel Legends figures for X-Men 3...yes...X-Men 3 from 2006 are still pegwarming at a bunch of my local comic shops. LOL. That is one cinematic toy line I flat out hated.

That is the most likely reason why Hasbro hasn't done ML for an X-Men [proper] movie since.
Unless it's that whole other thing about the Marvel team for Hasbro having too much on their plates for the year already.... *cough* Winter Soldier, Avengers/S.H.I.E.L.D. Gear, ASM2, GOTG, MI, etc. *cough*

I think Diamond Select is making a Wolverine and Professor X in their future outfits. Can't recall which 2 specifically though.
Not a huge fan of Selects but the articulation is getting better over time.

Pegwarming at $15-$20 or pegwarming at $75-100? That line was just so different at the time I think most fans hated the change from the normal comic look. But it seems like they are highly collectible now. Some of those variation figs go for over $100 easy and most around $40
