The first few years up here I hardly ever saw anything "good" except we got those 3.75" Shockers. Wholes waves didn't ship up here and hardly ever anything past wave 1 of limited lines. The past year or so has been pretty darn with being able to easily find some figures that others say they never see. Karma perhaps?

Those new Godzilla toys hit my Toys R Us (finally). They look... decent, but definitely too expensive. Though I am tempted by that "atomic roar" one where the plume of blue flame pops out of his mouth when you tilt him forward. I mean, that's just a good, fun toy right there!

Oh wow, I had forgotten about the Alfred figure from Dark Knight Movie Masters line !!! I spotted a handful of those right when the Movie Masters began hitting stores around here, but once the movie opened, all of those disappeared, and I never saw another. I was lucky enough to find the Selina Kyle variant, but I only saw one JGL "Robin" (lol) figure, and only one Ducard figure (and that was at Best Buy, around the holidays, of all places/times ).
I've always wondered if those Movie Masters were hard to find, or if my area just got shorted on the later waves. Last edited by Frank Richards; 04-05-2014 at 01:46 AM.. |

From my experience, most of the retailers around me got a glut of wave one that sat on the pegs and kept the later waves from being ordered until it was too late to make much of a difference. So the later waves ended up being scarce by default.
I'm just glad I didn't collect them and have to worry about it. In other news, I recently passed on the new YotS redecos of Supreme Starscream and MP-10 at TRU over the weekend. I'm kind of regretting the second one since I don't currently own any version of MP-10, but I would prefer a re-release of the first version instead of this redeco (if at all).

Local Walmart. I might get an RVD if I see it for cheaper. I doubt current kids remember who he is. He was last relevant to them back in 2006-ish but he'll always be "The Whole F'n Show" to me. *blows whistle like Bill Alfonso*

And then this week, I saw Marvel Legends at ROSS, BAF Terrax wave. I was tempted to get Hope and Ghost Rider but they aren't my scale. Oh, they were only $6.99 too.

I need to keep checking the Ross in my area! I'd love to finish Terrax, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $15 for so many of the figures in that wave.

Played "catch and release" with another Darth Plagueis tonight at another Walgreens. I still can't believe that this is the third Plagueis I've found, while I've only seen a single Mara Jade

Wish my Ross in my area were that well stocked! I checked some over the weekend and TJ Maxx, pretty barren. Only saw like 1 ML on the peg at both TJ's that I checked, they must have been bought up already ugh. Man that must be a well stocked TRU! |

If anyone needs something I'd be happy to help.
Just pay price, tax and shipping. I can provide receipts for everything...just don't flake on me. There's plenty of post offices on my way to work.

I'm crying when I see all your ROSS pics, cause I know that when I'll be in the US next month there won't be anything left...

Hey cidman, any Marvel Legends at your Ross? I could use some help with those. LA is too crowded with scalpers and resellers.

Saw the new animal set for all the Minecraft people out there.
Also saw Venom and Falcon Marvel Mashers at a few Targets I think it is great that Venom's tongue is an accessory :-) All the way in the bottom of the package. And have been seeing a lot of TF Voyagers of Whirl, Rhinox, and Double Dealer showing up at TRU. But still cheaper at HTS. |
