I greatly appreciated the positive feedback on my Man-Thing sketch. Could I get some for this Moon Knight.

Sounds about right. I passed up on the X-Force set because I wanted the Marvel Legends Pool. Hopefully I can come across it at a Ross or TJ Maxx.

En Sabah.... your line drawings are very nice. Ink would make them pop. Well done. What size are they? Snap a pic with a figure on the page for size reference. Kudos!!!

I think the toybiz figures are an anomaly, they were overproduced during the 90's collectors bubble and a lot of people bought them as an investment leaving a lot of MOC figures 20+ years later, I'm pretty sure the production numbers on the MU figures is much lower. especially since the whole run has occurred during a recession. but when we come out of the recession (and we will, these things come and go) there will be a lot of people who were out of work or kids whose parents had to cut back that will in a few years have that buying power again and the secondary market will come back. I never personally liked the 90's biz figures for collecting, the lack of articulation and poor sculpting never (as an adult) appealed to me, but I've been spoiled by legends and MU. but when I was a kid and they were the only game in town they were amazing, and you could not ask for more selection! I cant think of a character that existed in the X-universe at the time that didn't get a figure. plus I don't think the 90's nostalgia has quite set in yet, when I was a kid in the late 80's-90's I could pick up any Mego figure I wanted at the local flea market dirt cheap, now those figures would cost a mortgage payment. eventually when the 90's kids get there crap together they'll want there toys back and the circle will continue.
Those Toy Biz figures used to sell for more. They never got too high since they are so many available but stuff like MU drives the prices down as most people will just go for the most articulated and coolest looking figures. I think there is still a MOC market for those but that type of collector is the minority. Star Wars has proven it time and again, when you make a better version of a character (same costume) the old toy becomes vastly less popular. One day either MU and such will be replaced with some super advanced line that people will have to have or figures will go away almost entirely. Hard so say at this point.

BBTS has given us an update on the MI 3.75 and it looks like Cyclops, Valykrie and Omega Red are in this assortment which is interesting. Could be the OR and Cyke be new molds or old ones from the previous MU that were thrown into this mix.

how are Cyclopes and Omega red in the avengers line? Cyclopes is about the only X-man not to be an avenger! and I don't think Omega Red has ever been in an avengers comic! but I am stoked about Ant Man.

Yes I just got that email as well! That's really awesome that Ant-Man and Valkyrie will be included in with this wave. I'll definitely be getting those along with Ares and maybe Deathlok.
Wonder why Emma Frost was not included...oh yes right. One female per wave most likely..... >X( Hoping she shows up in Wave 4. Even though it's Avengers related Cyclops is in this one so who knows. Editing to add that maybe Northstar will also show up. |

I wonder if they'll be doing any variants in this line. other than my Grim Reaper with flaccid scythe I haven't even herd rumors of any variants.

I don't know exactly which comic this is from, but one time Omega Red took on Iron Man and did pretty well.
So I kind of see how they could force him into the line, but if it is the MU Omega Red just repacked, who's complaining that figure is awesome.

I hope it isn't the Jim Lee Cyclops. We've already gotten repacks if Iron Man, Cap, and Rogers.

Likely the three pack Cyclops and that one is a villain of the Avengers now since the whole Phoenix Five situation.
Really hope they changed him into Marvel Now Cyclops though, would be really cool. |

Great assortment for series 3.
Definitely getting Ares, Valkyrie, & Omega Red. I hope it's the modern X-Face Cyclops. I love retro costumes as much as the next guy but we need more of the current look comic figures and Scott's latest outfit is pretty slick.

Note to Hasbro (not that they listen or even read this) but Valkyrie if using the mold we saw before, has some awesome pigtails. Don't let those go to waste! You know who else had pigtails sometimes? Moonstar, that's who. Just sayin' for next year.

ANT MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes!!!
I really have NEVER thought this (MI) line was ever going to be divided into XMEN or COSMIC or anything like that. Avengers is only used on the side of the case and on the internet. The MI packaging never mentions it. The word AVENGERS is hot right now, but they dont use it really at all on the pack anyway. I was just asking Blaze (my son) of we should make an Ant Man custom!!! And BAM!!!!! There he is. I will get an Ares and a Valkyrie as well. Not a real priority.... but ANT MAN!! I am so happy about that!

And I really hope that's the case that there's not really going to be a focus per year. If they do it per wave that's great, but Avengers may be a hot property now but X-Men definitely has a wealth of characters they could work with. It may be false hope but I'm really hoping we see a Bishop before the year is out since he'll be in DOFP. Then the early 90's X-Men line up would be complete. |

Yeah hold off on those customs! I was considering trying to get a customizer to make an Emma Frost for me but now I"ll be holding off.

If you think Cyke's Marvel Now costume is slick...
I really hope they do Emma and Magik's Marvel Now Costume! Now that's screaming leather and bondage haha That would be great if we could get their costumes as well to go with Cykes. Yeah this new MI is pretty impressive to say the least. I would be totally fine with Magik showing up in any incarnation. She, Cannonball and Moonstar are #10-12 on my wishlist so definitely do want her. Is it sad I have a numerated 100 figure wish list? |
