A very good question.
This would have been an excellent time for Hasbro to capitalize on a popular brand, I wonder if they were 'too busy' with other lines to make a two wave series for the movie? If you have seen the trailer, it seems like there will be a lot of X-Men and their villains in it, even if they are just cameo appearances. And even if half of the possible figures were movie versions, there would have been a great opportunity to make/ remake some fan favourite comic styled. There's no telling if we're getting figures for any future mutant movie, and this seems like a lost opportunity to get a new Magneto, Polaris, Rogue, Bishop, Cable, etc, etc. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at a ML boardroom meeting lol Quote:
That is the most likely reason why Hasbro hasn't done ML for an X-Men [proper] movie since.
Unless it's that whole other thing about the Marvel team for Hasbro having too much on their plates for the year already.... *cough* Winter Soldier, Avengers/S.H.I.E.L.D. Gear, ASM2, GOTG, MI, etc. *cough* Quote:

Pegwarming at $15-$20 or pegwarming at $75-100? That line was just so different at the time I think most fans hated the change from the normal comic look. But it seems like they are highly collectible now. Some of those variation figs go for over $100 easy and most around $40

X3 Beast & Professor X looks the best to me but I have no use for them.

Which ones are rare? They're all at $20-25 at my shops. I'm sure I could haggle some down if I bothered. From what I recall it was X3 Beast, X2 Professor X in his chair, Jean Grey in that red dress, Juggernaut in that awful leather straps outfit & a Colossus with the X on his black vest.

When was Juggernaut included? X-3? It's too bad they didn't at least try to make his movie look a little closer to this, as I assume CGI was was out of the budget to make a classic look.

That sounds like a fair price for that figure, now if they only charged $3 for the X3 Juggy, Beast, Colossus and Emma Frost's first incarnation....

Was that made by Toybiz though? Saw my friends X-Men Legends figures from the very first movie, man so lil articulation. It's no wonder those figures didn't really attract me at all.
The toy line that Byrnes is talking about (and has that Juggy in his pic) was made by Toy Biz, but it was comic-themed and simply called "X-Men". There was also another 6" X-Men line released by Toy Biz around that time called "X-Men Classics", but it didn't have any movie sculpts in it, either. Those two lines were among the last of the Marvel 6" figures that Toy Biz produced.

I'm a bit of an old school guy. I like the hunt of finding a figure. Clicking a button is lame. So over the last 20 years or so I've found some good stuff(and probably spent hundreds on gas), but in the last 10 years practically nothing good. So I'm bumping around, hit Ross in daytime(found Hope and Klaw earlier in week), nothing this time, hit another Ross later last night nothing, roll into TJ maxx around 8:30 and BAM I see these guys(Punisher & Hawkeye) after looking around for a min or two. I couldn't believe it. Not only are they ML they are good characters. This is the first time in a long time that my energy spiked (aka wood)over finding a couple figures. I never really collected ML cause they were never in stock, anywhere over the years. I then later hit up a third Ross and found the Steve Rogers. Gonna try and hit some more stores today. I know it may be lame for some of of you but this is fun again for me.
