I'm just glad it helped. I didn't want to influence you with my opinion, but I also like the figure. You are right about the glasses sort of blunting the roughness of the face. In fact, I think some of the gaunt look of the face (narrow spacing between the eyes) may be a result of building/sculpting the face to accommodate her spectacles. She is also pretty tall, as you pointed out. Do I want that unreleased Rogue? Of course, but I also like the extreme version. Enjoy your purchase!

@Byrnes
That five pack Rogue has dropped a bit in price lately. But yeah, she is pretty horrible. I have her, but I rarely insert her into any line-ups. The clown-make-up job she sports had me putting off buying her for years (especially at the then $75 price tag people wanted). I ended up scoring her for $20ish. I would be all over that unreleased Rogue, but X-treme will hold until a more modern Rogue pops up....be nice to get a 1st appearance version too, then I could put her in a Brotherhood line-up.... |

I have seen customs of x-treme rogue painted in the classic green and yellow and that looks pretty good. I would hope they make a classic 90's Rogue but it seems they do not want to really do x-men figures anymore

Rogue is a really weird case. She's a pretty high profile X-Man. And yet in both lines we only got her in multi packs. I don't know why that is.
Don't get me wrong, I"m glad at least I have any ML at all, but a single redo would be great, or even better a modern (anything past X-Treme X-Men) outfit would be even better. I was really liking the one they cancelled from the Wolverine wave. |

She has always been a favorite character of mine, and I really like alot of the costumes she has worn so it's really wierd to me that only the Jim Lee, X treme, movie version, asteroid m and aoa costumes have ever been made into figures (and never very well). I think her MU and X treme are her best figures.
It makes the most sense to release the Jim Lee version for an update because it is her most iconic and Toybiz Rogue could be a serious competitor in the ugliest Marvel Legends female beauty pageant. Though since they have shown a willingness to go obscure, I've always been fond of her outback attire. I think we will end up seeing the unreleased Rogue since Hasbro really has been making an effort to get them out. I'll just remind everybody what that looked like. With this as a variant. Oh and I found the X treme green/yellow repaint. |

I'd like something as feminine as she is powerful...and I know we will get some version of Rogue, I just hope it isn't...ummm....crap?

The X-Treme X-Men repaint custom looks good! I have the X-Treme X-men one. Maybe I should work on repainting it.

The deadly memory/ability absorbing cleavage trap on the new ML Rogue figure seems very... effective. haha

Am I the only one bothered by the X on her chest? It doesn't look like it'd zip into a full X in a circle...

I think you might be right, but as a sometimes-typical guy, I'll freely admit that the "x" is not immediately where my eyes are drawn...

Didn't they say we were going to get that Rougue in the X-men wave. Coulda swore they promised it when they cancelled her a Emma variant. They said Rouge would be in the X-men wave and Cyclops was off the table cancelled.

I hope we still get that Rogue that was to be Emma's swap, but no heels please! Lol

Rogue was supposed to be the swap, but I'm not sure whether she was listed as cancelled along with Phoenix Force Cyclops...
I agree, no heels. Made sense with Emma because of her character, but it didn't feel right with Black Cat or Medusa. I'm not even a fan of the high-heel pumps on the Movie-Black Widow. Heroines wearing heels have always been a pet peeve for me. Its impractical and a good way to get killed when going up against brutes like the Juggernaut or savage killers like Sabretooth. Seems a tad misogynistic but there is a lot of that in comics specifically and the world in general.... |

Yeah, as I recall it was only Phoenix Force Cyclops who was outright canceled, while the other swap variants (Rogue, Blade) were supposedly still planned for release at a time when it would "make sense."
Ideally Rogue would've been released already since the Days of Future Past movie has come and gone now. I have no clue when Blade, the one I was looking forward to the most, will be convenient to be made available. The character doesn't seem to be getting used much in general. As glad as I am that they made Stryfe, was there really a lot of demand for the character? I thought I was in a minority. Rogue or even AoA Jean might've made more sense, given the theatrical release of the new movie. |

Blade would be nice to see, but I hate those trench-coat designs. They limit the range of movement for the figure. Although there was one trench-coat design that I would have suffered through; I liked that Brother Voodoo Sorcerer Supreme design.
I'm with you on Stryfe. While very cool looking (in spite of his being a Rob Leifield creation - unghh I'm really not a fan), do we really need him? The only thing I can come up with in the way of excuses is that maybe the buzz Stryfe's image created (however long ago that was when he was first shown to the public) fueled this push through to completion and delivery. But as Fortune mentioned, a Dani Moonstar would have been more appreciated (by me at least). Cases of figures can be bought at any of the typical online retailers: Big Bad Toystore, or even eBay (that's where I go, but people here generally hate eBay - with reason). I'm not a huge fan of new versions of figures already released but I can get behind it if the outfit change is significant enough to warrant it. But I'd rather not see it being done at the expense of figures with NO versions being made. Edited because i want to add that of course if Moonstar ever gets released I shall then begin to harp on the fact we didn't get the Songbird in the first Jubilee wave. There's really no winning with me. |

That seems to be just because it curve around her bust. The depth causes foreshortening which makes it appear each half-circle starts to close on its own. But if that was a real piece a fabric and you laid it flat they would probably be half circles.

Welcome to the site. You can get them from a variety of On-line places like Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, Brian's Toys, any sponsor on here who sells Legends also I would guess.
*Side Note I don't understand why Hasbro Toy Shop just doesn't sell all the legends online. |

But that Phoenix five figure was killer. Hoping we see it soon. Doubt Hasbro will shelve money they spent designing it and not eventually put it out. Last edited by VashTS; 08-22-2014 at 09:19 AM.. |
