Ok....its a wrap. We are officially making a Binary Club!!
In all seriousness, it was a pretty impactful story about the Brood experimenting on Carol in a way that dramatically boosted her powers to a cosmic level....it took place shortly after Carol had her powers permanently (nothing is permanent in the world of comics) leached by Rogue (she was evil at the time - or confused by a manipulative relationship with Mystique). It set up a cool reckoning shortly there after between Binary and Rogue (now turning good after the traumatic experience of absorbing Carol's psyche) in which Binary demonstrated that with her new level of power she could have easily killed Rogue (fortunately the X-men talked Carol down)...at least that's how I remember the story going. @Kirathis Yuk, Yuck.....I know, I talks funny! Epic job, Olds! That is an awesome recipe for her; Moonstone/Satanna upper body mated to a DCC Livewire lower? I decided to go the custom route on her as well to avoid both the bad Moonstone body hip articulation and the headache of hunting Targets. =)
Edit: actually, duh, looks like a WWE Diva figure base, which I'm using for my custom as well. Not sure why I didn't spot that. haha Last edited by ultraman zoffy; 08-29-2014 at 08:56 AM.. |

She is a bit of a Frankenstein recipe. The main body is a cut down and re-sculpted DCC Livewire and her legs that have been cut down with Red She-Hulks lower legs and feet grafted onto them, and WWE female arms.
Here she is with an alternate head. |

Nice... I had the She-Rulk lower legs on a Rosa Mendes WWE body, but there was something about the shape that bothered me, like they looked like man calves. lol... I ended up tossing it out and restarting with a Natalya base instead.

I would love a Binary. I would really like a Harold of Galactus set with Firelord, Frankie Raye Nova, Air Walker, a new Silver Surfer, Ultimate Vision and a MORG Build a Figure.

I'm quite happy at the success of Guardians; Cosmic Marvel has been long overdue for its well deserved spotlight! There are so many great characters from Marvel's cosmic pantheon! |

Agent venom hit my area today.
I got the pick of all of them between three stores before choosing which one I was taking home with me All of them had two common issues looking through them... 1: The left eye is painted off the sculpt making his eye ever so slightly off center on the face. 2: The spider symbol is done in three stamps. Main body, right spider legs and left spider legs. I know this because the right side legs do not have the same coverage as the rest of the logo making the whole side appear as darker white than the rest of the spider. If you get to pick your venom make sure to check these areas before you buy. Last edited by name; 08-29-2014 at 10:31 PM.. |

Yup, Karla Sofen. Since the 3 pack Ms. Marvel and Moonstone both share the same head the look could be accomplished by popping the head off of the 3 pack and on to the classic body but it should come with an extra.

Funny how the movies influence the depictions of heroes in comics. I remember when Blade in the comics started looking like Wesley Snipes. Not to discredit Wesley, who I love as Blade, but I always preferred 70's Blade who sported a dope 'fro....not to mention the recent depiction of Blade as bald a la Sticky Fingaz...really? Sticky Fingaz (I never really was an Onyx fan - maybe a song or two)? Recently, we've seen Hawkeye transition to a look more closely resembling Renner's rendition of the hero. Call me an ol'fogey, a purist, a stick in the mud, but this sort of thing grinds me a bit.....I guess the movies nor the comics can be made to suit me specifically....and there is 'brand recognition' that must ALWAYS be considered! Anyway, I guess the Starlord/Rocket are not so important to me as is the Gamora. I hope Hasbro at least sticks to the picture they used as a mock-up, which featured her in her Annihilation outfit...and a new Drax and whomever else they decide to include (I'd personally like to see Phyla, Mantis, Bug, or Cosmo). |

I am actually quite fond of the movie Star-lord, the Conquest/GotG vol.2 look is still my favorite but I liked the movie look anyway. I had to watch the movie before I actually decided to get the legends toy, but come on dusters are bad-ass. Sure it limits the toy's pose below the waist, but it adds the right touch of drifter to my shelf. Besides I prefer the comics going movie-look over his marvel now armor deal, anything closer to my favorite is better than mass effect armor and a helmet he barely wore that I'm still not sure if I like or not. I do realize there is hypocrisy in the statement since in the movie he only wore the helmet pretty much while in the void of space or when fighting.
