DCC question here. Does anyone here who has the Arkham City Ra's Al Ghul have one with a slightly squished head? I'm looking at getting one, but I am a little concerned about my chances of getting one with a slightly squished head. If anybody here has one please let me know if it's a big QC issue, or just part of the very early distribution, or whatever reason it might be. Thanks.

I tell ya I wish they make a Dorian chase vigilante. I love that character before new 52 Eliminated him. I'd kill for a custom of that guy.

So excited! My Red Hood and The Outlaws action figures as well as the New 52 Huntress/Power Girl set just shipped. Arkham City Clayface won't be joining them, sadly, as apparently he's been delayed for a third time - with no new date announced just yet. Reminds me of the DC Direct days! No big deal, though.
I know people have been complaining about the giant blades on Red Hood's arms, but personally I'm glad they're there. They are from a couple of pages from the comic that still stand out to me as being particularly beautiful, thanks to the colorist. It's still baffling that DCC didn't make them removable for the vast majority of people who want a good Red Hood, though. |

I am hoping that the Clayface delay was to resculpt the STUPID ice off of his mold. THAT ruined the figure for me.

As it is, I plan on making removable clay and/or rock pieces that'll fit over the ice crystals. If that fails, dremmel and paint. That's a lot of unnecessary work to make him look right. |

The Arkham City Clayface is just generally wrong. His head looks off (especially the eyes, which they made red instead of black, and teeth), they made him look too muscular he should have traces of anatomically placed muscle but for the most part is blobby, and then there are the ice crystals. They didn't even look like that in-game, when you froze him he just kinda turned blue-ish and layered, he didn't grow crystals out of his back and elbows. It's kind of funny, but the Mattel Clayface from the 2 packs that they're doing (there seems to be a series of them with one big guy and one normal guy all based on the Arkham series) looks more like he did in-game than the giant DCC figure.

I've always wanted a Clayface, though, and this is the biggest one. His BTAS episodes were some of the most memorable to me. Especially the one where Tim Drake befriends the little girl who turns out to be a golem. That was some creepy, mind-blowing stuff for a kid's cartoon. Been toying with an idea for how to make a BTAS-style alternate head for this AC Clayface, too, just in case I eventually want a more classic look. I might make the attempt if the ice coverings turn out okay. |

I've been catching up on the Futures End weekly comic, and after seeing Deathstroke's costume, I'd really like DCC to make an action figure of it. Not that there aren't already plenty of versions to choose from, but I do like this sleeker design than the heavily armored ones that have been used for the character lately.
Arsenal's new costume isn't bad either. His mask is a nice change of pace compared to the typical domino style. Of course, if they were to make only one Futures End action figure then I would definitely want it to be a New 52 Batman Beyond. That would be great. |

Dwayne Johnson has announced he will be playing Black Adam in the SHAZAM movie, I quite like Black Adam (probably one of the only non-Batman characters I like) and I think Dwayne "The Rock" is perfect for the role. This could turn into a cool figure from Mattel or DCC.

Okay, I've gotten a lot of new DCC stuff today and I'll be getting even more in the next couple of days as well (pics will be in the haul thread once it all comes in, probably) but I just need to rave about the Red Hood and the Outlaw action figures right now.
Simply put, they're awesome. Hood's glider blades are a little wonky, and I really wish they had included his all-blades in addition to his guns because I really think those swords would look awesome with the gauntlets... but that's a minor nitpick. Arsenal is the best of the bunch, and I say this because it can hold a legit archer's pose unlike New 52 Green Arrow and every previous DCC/DC Direct archer character. I'm extremely happy about that. His leg articulation is lacking, but it doesn't matter much to me, and the guy looks like he just finished a raspberry slushy (look at those lips!) but neither of those nitpicks takes away from the fact that he can draw his bow back and hold that pose. Unfortunately DCC is still making the actual arrows too short. Arsenal's isn't near as bad as New 52 Green Arrow's (which was basically a crossbow bolt) but it is just a hair too short to work. I have the Mattel Young Justice Red Arrow, though, and one of his spare arrows works perfectly as seen above. I'm seriously considering buying another Arsenal for a Green Arrow custom. There's still hope that DCC will give it another go themselves, though. |

It's my desire that DCC makes a Simone Secret Six (box set or wave) so I could have a new comic Bane and Deadshot, I don't care for Deadshot's new 52 look at all and I hear the toy has major pose limitations.
Above all though I'd like DCC to make Fables figures, they could be based on the Wolf Among Us game and I'd definitely still be on board. Vertigo fans would appreciate the love.

I have New 52 Deadshot, and it's true that he is extremely limited in his poses. I'm crazy about the sculpt, though, and actually like the design, so I bought it despite only being familiar with the Arkham and Arrow versions of the character. |

I like Deadshot thanks mainly to Gail Simone's Secret Six, but I've kind of liked him since he was on the Justice League cartoon where he was witty and cynical. I like him in both Arkham games and the straight to video Assault on Arkham. I don't really like him in New 52 though, I haven't actually read any New 52 (don't plan on it either) but knowing that they took away his having a family burns. Pre-New 52, losing his wife and son and then doing a fair deal of jobs to make the city safe for his secret daughter was a nice sympathy draw, he was still witty, cynical, had homicidal tendency, and also occasionally had suicidal thoughts, but he was also kinda sympathetic. Just my take on it, but New 52 doesn't sound like it's using Floyd to his full potential.

Out of curiosity, which issue does Deathstroke make an appearance in? I doubt I'll get all of this title's individual issues (I've missed too many already), but having the one with him in it would be cool.

Why is Deadshot in Secret Six? He is part of the Suicide Squad and currently fucking Harley.

That's actually a really cool Deathstroke costume. I too would love to see a figure of that made. Though yeah, if we get just one figure based on this title, it should definitely be Terry's suit.

I'm actually selling those issues (don't collect single comics anymore, I offload them to afford others) but I do it in a bundle. I've got #11-#17 right now. Don't know if you'd want them since you've missed a lot, but I figured it's worth mentioning. It's got a slow pace, but the various storylines are intriguing as hell. Batman Beyond is currently the highest item on my wishlist for DCC to make. Mattel has done several attempts, and the Total Heroes version in particular looks really good to me, but I'm dying for a New 52/Futures End Terry action figure. Frankenstein is probably my #2, mostly because he's a key member of Justice League Dark but also has a prominent role in Futures End. |

This was pre-New 52, when he left Suicide Squad and joined the Secret Six because he needed the money and wanted more say in his missions. The fact that Deadshot's losing sleep with Harley Quinn says measures about how they've devolved the character from what they managed to make him into.

So apparently Secret Six is, in fact, being relaunched by Gail Simone in December, as revealed today. Pretty funny considering the last few posts here.
I have no idea if Bane will be in it (don't think he's being used anywhere else at the moment, though) but Catman is said to be the main character. In other news, I got my DCC New 52 Swamp Thing today. Haven't opened him up yet, but the sculpt is absolutely amazing. |

I feel like part of what made the Gail Simone Secret Six work the first time around was that there was no main character, it was an ensemble cast with the occasional arc or issue focusing on one member. I get the feeling that the New 52 version won't be as good because of how they've changed all these characters' pasts that they won't have nearly the same character interaction.
