Thanks to Grimlockimus we may possibly have our first look at an upcoming Grimlock figure from the new Transformers animated series, Robots In Disguise, which take place after Transformers Prime. Grimlockimus found the image on the new Transformers: Age Of Extinction Blu-Ray special feature section that goes into the development of the toys.
With New York Comic Con just around the corner, keep on eye on the front page while we bring you the latest news on the new Robots In Disguise TV show and hopefully, its toyline. |

To celebrate the release of the 4th installment of the movie, the TFW2005 Staff Members have submitted Accolades to appreciate AOE. Mad props to Superquad7 for his awesome work with the Accolades Poster. This is why he is always Super. At the same time, we thank our dear members for submitting news and info since the very first day of Age Of Extinction principal photography. Also, it was wonderful to read all the awesome movie discussion threads; where some even nearly ended with murder, had we not intervened. And yes… our reviews: |

Getty Images and the twitter feed of Levi Tinker (among others) report that coinciding with the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Transformers Age of Extinction, Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, dipped his hands in the cement at Hollywood's famous Chinese Theater. That's not all though as Optimus Prime was also granted full honors complete with a huge statue of Age of Extinction Optimus Prime and his wheelprint in the cement!
It's yet another great honor for the 30th anniversary of Transformers and the man who for so many of us brought the show - and Optimus Prime - to life. Rightfully deserved, Mr Cullen, rightfully deserved! |

TFW2005 is happy to share a full high res gallery of the latest Masterpiece figure - MP20 Wheeljack! MP-20 is a faithful modern interpretation of G1 Wheeljack, complete with his Lancia Stratos Turbo vehicle mode and appropriate racing decals on top of an Italian themed red, green and white paint job. He stands in line with the Datsun brothers and Sideswipe, adding to the roster of re-imagined G1 / Diaclone era cars and has similar transformation notes with his G1 counterpart - but of course updated with modern, more complicated engineering.
Overall he's a great piece, head on over to the gallery and check it out for yourselves! Comparison shots with previous versions and the exclusive coin and Hypnosis Device come from fellow 2005 Admin Sol Fury! TFW2005's Masterpiece Wheeljack Gallery |

Thanks to Ozformers, we now have an in-hand sample of the highly-anticipated Transformers: Generations Deluxe Arcee figure! In addition to photos of the figure itself, a small review is also given, laying out the details of the figure.
Arcee is extremely faithful to her G1 cartoon depiction, transforming into a futuristic spacecar and is also very pink, as many fans had been asking for. She also comes with two pistols, and also twin energy swords, which appear to be homaging her IDW and Animated incarnations. Being a part of the recent IDW promotion, she also comes packed in with an issue of Dark Cybertron. Both Arcee and her fellow fembot wavemate, Chromia, should be hitting retail in the not-too-far-future, so keep an eye out! Check it out after the jump! |

We've been seeing a couple of teasers and magazine scans of these figures in the past couple of weeks, but now we finally have official stock images of Takara's Legends Brainstorm, Swerve, and Tailgate (Legends is Generations in Japan). We've speculated about the deco changes from Hasbro's North American releases, so this should give us a solid indicator of final decos for Takara's release.
We'll let the pictures do the talking so make the jump and check 'em out! |

The Transformers Collectors Club has shared a new image of their year 3 Figure Subscription Service figure, Serpent O.R. Serpent O.R. is a clever use of the Ratbat version of the Generations Scourge mold to represent the biomechanical version of G.I. Joe archvillain Serpentor, as seen in the now-classic Devil's Due Transformers & G.I. Joe Art of War miniseries.
If you feel this one has nailed the look and you're taken with the other five in next year's set - G2 Starscream, Nacelle, Carzap, Krok and Tarantulas - then you may wish to act quickly as today is the final day to order this year's Transformers Figure Subscription Service - and we're told there will not be many spares of this year's sets. Head on over to the Transformers Collectors Club homepage for more information. |

Prime 1 Studios have updated their Facebook page with new details of their Age of Extinction Grimlock statue. Clocking in at nearly three feet long, this massive statue does the Dinobot justice!
There are two versions of the statue in the works. The first one is the Grimlock-only option, and features LED light up features in the base, eyes and mouth of the statue. There is also a deluxe one, which is Grimlock with Optimus Prime (recreating Optimus' heroic charge into battle in Age of Extinction) which in addition to all those features also has a second Optimus Prime statue with option parts for standing or riding Grimlock, along with two different ways to hold his sword, and a shield too! To top it all off, both versions have an Autobots Emblem Stand with light up function. They are due out between April and June next year. |

Transformers: Legends event Cosmic Rust is now live.
Event Synopsis: As MEGATRON, SOUNDWAVE, and the DECEPTICONS travel towards Cybertron, they find a planet with a gigantic AUTOBOT symbol that is visible from space. Upon closer inspection, they discover that the entire population has been wiped out, leaving behind only a powerful weapon, the Lightning Bug. MEGATRON takes the Lightning Bug, intending to use it on the AUTOBOTS, unaware of the creeping doom that it has inflicted him and his troops. He soon discovers the cosmic rust, and steals the Corrostop compound that the AUTOBOTS had developed in order to cure it. Now immune to the infection, he decides to use it upon the hated AUTOBOTS. The AUTOBOTS, now inflicted and without their own supply of Corrostop, turn to their Matter Replicator for a solution. Unfortunately, the only remaining Corrostop is on the Statue of Liberty, which was used for the original tests, and it is now blockaded by DRAG STRIP, LASERBEAK and the other DECEPTICONS. Will BEACHCOMBER and AUTOBOT GEARS be able to get past the DECEPTICON blockades and reach the Statue of Liberty in time for the AUTOBOTS to replicate the Corrostop? Or will the fate of the AUTOBOTS to be to rust into nothingness? Find out on TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS – “COSMIC RUST”! |

Hisashi Yuki is having some more fun on his Twitter, teasing some upcoming Transformers Legends (Takara's new version of the Generations line) releases - specifically, Rattrap, Optimus Primal, Roadbuster, Sky-Byte, Jetfire, and perhaps most excitingly, Rattrap with his great aunt Arcee!
All of these showcase the figures in entertaining situations (mostly having to do with Rattrap, naturally) - but the most interesting thing here is the small teaser for Arcee. From what we can see, it appears she features a somewhat darker shade of pink, and her Autobot symbol is also in a slightly different location than her Hasbro counterpart. All of these releases feature changes from their Hasbro counterparts, ranging from minor to major. So, which versions will you be getting - will you be sticking with the Hasbro releases or going all out for the Takara ones? Check it out and discuss after the jump! |
