Oritoy's Acid Rain line has given us Joe fans something to collect while Hasbro figures out what they're doing with our Real American Heroes. It's more of a designer line, a little pricey, but they are beautiful pieces with quality construction, paint, and molding. The main line may not be for everyone here, but, I think most of us can get down with some good old fashioned army men.
Oritoy created a show exclusive set of 3 Agurts Infantry, a base figure from their Acid Rain line, and popped them out in green plastic with no paint to pay homage to the originals. They will be available at shows only as time goes on, and NYCC 2014 had them first. We picked up a set and ran them through a gallery to show what they can do. Check out over 30 shots of them holding their position after the break!... [Read More] |

HISSTANK attended the Hasbro Third Quarter 2014 Earnings Conference Call live today.
The last financial quarter was very eventful for Hasbro. Not only the Hasbro-Discovery Hub Network was rebranded, the next Transformers Animated Series; Transformers: Robots In Disguise went to the Cartoon Network. Hasbro also appointed a new Brand President; Mr. John Frascotti. So, we joined the call unsure of what we might hear this time. Will it be good, bad or the usual? But we did not knew, that we were in for a treat as Hasbro made some important statements regarding the future of some of our beloved brands, including G. I. Joe. More than a year ago, Sister Site TFW2005 revealed for the first time, a curious new Hasbro Trademark at the United States Patent & Trademark Office. The trademark is called AllSpark Pictures and it was only today that Hasbro revealed what it is. AllSpark Pictures is a new initiative by Hasbro where the Toy Company will produce Movies. Hasbro Studios will continue to provide content for the Television while AllSpark Pictures will cater the Live Action/Animated Movies. Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner: This new relationship is a terrific complement to the prolific boys’ entertainment slate over the next several years, including film and television entertainment from Marvel and Lucasfilm, as well as the next theatrical installments of Hasbro’ s brands, G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS. *** We envision Allspark Pictures as a new way to make fresh and compelling movies, based on new and existing Hasbro brands, for audiences globally. *** During the Q&A Session, Mr. Goldner mentioned that AllSpark Pictures was formed in order to increase the focus and effort towards Live Action Movies. *** CEO also explained why Titan Heroes line exists (it was as if he knew the Fan question). He mentioned that the line is mostly targeted at emerging markets due to their low prices. You can read more info at TFW2005.... [Read More] |

Just like we have reported in the past about the potential for a G.I. Joe Jumbo Gentile Giant line, very strong rumors have surfaced for the future of G.I. Joe in 2015. G.I. Joe to return in 2015 in the form of G.I. Joe Black Series 6" that will kick off with a Snake Eyes and Timber set via SDCC 2015! This information is not verified by Hasbro so all the usual caveats apply, until Hasbro confirm these sets, we need to view them as rumor at this point.

1984's A Real American Hero assortment introduced us to Spirit, aka Spirit Iron-Knife, the G.I.Joe Tracker. It's easy to see how/why this character became a fan favorite, especially in earlier Sunbow episodes, when he would battle the Cobra Ninja, Storm Shadow.
We've received 3 versions of the character in Modern form so far - The 25th Anniversary version, The Pursuit of Cobra version and finally the Slaughters Marauders (POC repaint) version. With that said, none can hold a candle to the fantastic Custom 30th Anniversary Spirit created by Hisstank.com forum Moderator ceraurus. It's a perfect update, combining both his classic and 25th anniversary looks, while incorporating an updated feel, similar to what you've come to expect from POC and 30th offerings. Springfield - A nice little town like ours
The stage is now set - As you know, the 2015 G.I.Joe Convention is being held in Springfield, IL. Since the time the news of the location was released by the G.I.Joe Club, Hisstank.com forum members have begun to speculate as to what the upcoming Convention Exclusive set may be. The Club promised a hint in an upcoming comic issue this December, but until then, let's get to speculating! Some have wondered if the location being Springfield will somehow tie in to the set, focusing on Cobra's secret town headquarters and finally bringing us characters like Billy. Others think that the set will focus on a subgroup - Sky Patrol, Tiger Force, etc. Do you plan on picking up the 2015 G.I.Joe Convention Exclusive Box Set? If so, what do you think it'll include? Check out the Custom Cobra SuperFANG Assault Helicopter by Hisstank.com forum member loyalcobra. This piece just screams COBRA, but we'll let LC tell you about it himself - Loyalcobra and MARS Industries proudly present - the CAH-14 SUPERFANG. To me, one of the worst offenses related to the Rise of Cobra movie and toyline was the Cobra Gunship. If Cobra had tech that advanced at their disposal... the whole plot of the movie instantly comes apart. Anyway, I've done my best to fix this with a traditional helicopter gunship that incorporates the ROC design elements without trying to be too sci-fi to be believed. I'm not going to post a parts list, because I committed some terrible atrocities with my collections to make this. I hope you enjoy! ------------ Check out more images and share your thoughts after the break!... [Read More] |
