Just finished reading future imperfect... I've seen some great maestro customs. I hope hasbro makes a maestro hulk. I checked vortious but I couldn't find a maestro head cast by itself, just a whole set. |

I think Taskmaster and Crossbones could kick Whiplash's ass.

my god that is the greatest display I've ever seen! I've got a couple questions: 1: do you have any kind of frame holding that up, or can the foam bear that much weight? 2: what do you use to paint the foam? 3: can I come over and play?

Yeah that is a sick collection and display. I like the different factions like the space area and I need one of those Xavier school mansions. Fantastic stuff K dub!

2. I use the cheapest paint I can find, lol. Most of what you see is basic craft paint purchased at walmart. I start almost every paint job with a base layer of black then drybrush the next colors until I get the look I was going for (A technique I picked up from the 3.75 compatability thread, the one where the guy had a series of videos on how to make a castle diorama). Xavier's mansion is actually stone texture spray paint, but you gotta be careful because most spray paints will eat through the foam, but I found that some will not. 3. I moved to Indy so I know there is an entire state between us now, but come over whenever, lol. It is kinda funny I put all this effort into this display and probably less than 10 people will ever see it in person. Last edited by K Dubious; 10-28-2014 at 07:40 AM.. |

WOW!!!! Alot of hard work has been put in to that collection and set up. I like how you have branched it to separate groups e.g xmen. avengers etc. Im loving the fish tank idea but got to have some more action in there at least..... Excellent work dude.

I think it's a comment on how Hasbro's Marvel team is doing their best to put ML in front so much that MI gets ignored. It's almost like they want it to fail and are just putting out a few "most requested" figures to keep fans happy. Oh and Shanna as well.

are they though? Legends isn't getting much love either lately. just look at the toy isle! Marvel properties are more forefront in the public consciousness than ever before, but Hasbro for some reason doesn't want to exploit the now tri-yearly multi billion dollar movie/cartoon/comic/videogame phenomenon that Marvel has become I the last few years! yet it seems that every movie breaks records, as there toy lines shrink! IM2 had what, like 50 unique figures, and now Thor2 has 5! and winter soldier was at 5 or so as well (not to mention they sucked). Then comes GoTG, no 3.75 line at all, how does Hasbro compensate? they re-pack the ill selling three pack individually, (by the way my theory is they just bought the three packs back a TJ Max, opened, and re-packed them) and the kicker... they don't even distribute them!

Folks, my OCD just wont let me be a normal person... Help! Just kidding. If you're a completest and you don't have these I don't blame you but I just have to show you...
These are all just Family Dollar "sticker" ($8 sticker) variants. I just have to have them... The Captain America and the Thor though are actual color variants. I think I posted it a while back but the first Cap one is matte and the second one is glossy and the family dollar ones are a lighter blue version as well as the regular matte version,. Look at the last two close up pics for better reference. 1st one is matte, 2nd one is a glossy/darker wash. |

Raf, have you found a Variant Omega Red yet? It's a minor variant, but there are two different metal colors on his "metal sideburns" one is noticeably darker and metallic, and the other is a flat light grey like his tentacles, I first noticed when I was looking at the MU versus the MI versions and pointed it out, then a couple of people told me that they've seen both in the MU packaging.

Both my MU and MI look the same. I wonder if the numbers on the back are different on the MU.

Thats awesome you can continue the hunt raf!
My Omega Red looks like both the pics, but that extreme close up makes me really appreciate the detail in some of these characters. |

Thanks, and yeah, I just love the hunt you know. I can tell you that it's going to be a very hard one to find (kind of like when I was looking for both matte/glossy phasing visions and the 3 matte, glossy & glossier red hulks) but it'll be fun when I do!
