My advice to anyone who is willing to buy the two together on eBay for convenience (so you don't have to spend time and $ driving around town hunting) is to try to spend no more than $30 total including shipping. Or, individually, Joker for $14 to $15; Harley for $15 to $17. Hold firm. The market is about to be flooded. Last edited by thewriteguy; 11-23-2014 at 05:49 PM.. |

Usually we run WAY behind the rest of the country. I was shocked when I bumbled across them. I actually went back later to return something and double checked. There were four Origins Batmans left there. good week so far, Joke, Harley and Darth Malgus.

Anybody feeling generous and want to share a pic of the Arkham Origins Batman? I know we've seen him at the Con, but I wanted to see what retail ended up like.

Just wanted to share with you guys a WIP of a Batman custom. Used my extra Injustice Batman and decided to improve it. It's WIP because I want to give him a Batarang or a Grapple gun from Shapeways. Didn't decide which one I will give him yet.
What was done? 1. Full repaint in flat black even those dark blue-grey areas. Also repainted the silver and titanium areas. 2. Full repaint of the head in flat black. Added eyes to it, looks much better like this in my opinion. 2. Trimmed the original neck which was to wide for my taste. Used a Dark Knight neck piece. Trimmed the excess and removed the cape. 3. New cape make from a very thin plastic that I took from an agenda notebook I bought at a Chinese shop. It was hard to find this. A big thanks to my wife for her patience in cutting the wing shaped at the bottom of the cape. |

Great job! The original paint job on that figure looks janky.

eBay update: Already it appears the pricing of the AO Joker and AK Harley are falling. For example, with less than 8 hours to go, here's a listing for the two together that starts at $28 including shipping -- no one has bid. That's a fantastic price if you want both, considering shipping costs if you were to buy from an online store, your state sales taxes, retail pricing in the store.

Indeed if he painted this figure in one one of the traditional Batman color schemes, it would look bad ass. The action figure sculpting itself is good but it is hampered by its original paint job and colors.

The imaginext bat cycle works ok for a 4" bat pod. It even has every collectors favorite, a spring loaded projectile set of headlights.

Do you have a shot of this from another angle, like the side?

I really like Burton Batman but those bunny ears really suck. wonder if anyone worked on them or make a sculpt/cast of a proper one. Hate when they show really cool prototypes and then screw on production. This would be perfect for my Batwing

What did you guys think of the Man of Steel line? I thought they were alright for the price. Easily as good as some stuff Hasbro is putting out.

So I managed to get on eBay only the Batman figure from the Armor Attack Bat Pod (the only Batpod toy Mattel made for its 4" line). I wanted to see if I could seat it on the Blu-ray collector's edition of TDK which came with a Batpod model.
Unfortunately, this particular 4" Batman has no pose-able legs -- neither the knees nor hips turn! It's just stiff legs from the waist down. Oh well. It's still a decent enough figure to collect and keep, that has a rubber cape. Last edited by thewriteguy; 11-29-2014 at 03:11 PM.. Reason: spelling |

On another note, I got my AK Harley, but her right eye is off, making her derpy. I've noticed that most of the figures on eBay have the same problem. So it looks like Mattel messed up the paint job again (as they did with most of the unmasked Keatons). DERP.
Compare with the attached shot of the figure Mattel showed off at one of the toy shows announcing it. Looks like this will be a project for you modders who have the skills to repaint faces. AK Harley needs a make-over! :/ |
