I will be using ProtoFett as my Stormtrooper Commander. Since the classic trilogy only had Troopers , where the prequels had people like Cmdr Cody and such. Just my way of fitting him into the collection.

I can't wait for bossk either, I am trying to limit myself to just bad guys/bounty hunters and chewie. So far I have fett, vader, stormtrooper, and prototype fett on pre order. I saw 2 at walgreens but left the prototype fetts cuz my preorder, should have grabbed one and cancelled it oh well. I am just gonna cherry pick this line, I have no interest in all of the greedos and slave leias peg warming. I want a wampa too.

So Black Series Han showed up in my local Walmart(which only stocks toys twice a year)
So tempted to buy him, I haven't bought a single Star Wars figure outside the 3.75 But they absolutely nailed Han which I thought they failed at every single time in 3"(short & anorexic, barrel chest and finally twig legs on Bespin) Likeness is good/okay, proper height in relation to others and doesn't look like a rail next to Luke etc. Last edited by Specter; 09-24-2014 at 08:07 AM.. |

Has anyone ever made MEGO 8" Retro/Cloth versions of Star Wars figures?
I have always heard that MEGO was going to get the license, but they were not open, or out of town, when Lucas was shopping for a company to make the figures, and so Kenner got the license because they were around. So I have always wanted an 8" MEGO styled line of the Original Trilogy figures...has it been done? Has it been considered? The Retro 8" Lines for Batman and DC are making a come-back, and we've seen Battlestar Galactica and etc get the treatment...it's past time for an 8" Star Wars Mego line!

Got this from the thrift store for $1.95, minus the lightsabers. I need to get myself some red ones.

I grew up on Star Wars and at one point collected everything. Got out of the game a while back. Then the 6" series came out. I said I wasn't gonna buy them. Saw Chewy and Sandtrooper last night and now it's game on again. Just what my wallet needs.

Think my 2 local Walmarts gave up waiting, they removed all the rebels related stuff and branding from an island shelf and tossed it in the back of the toy section. |

It is??? (Runs over to packaging) Wow it is! I always loved the bounty hunter scene in Ep. V, Shadows of the Empire solidified my love. I plan to get every bounty hunter in plastic form to display.
I was wondering when you would show up lol! Close ups please! What's up with all the clones? Looks like they had a free for all and only one man is standing! |

Really digging the new Sandtrooper, especially since I initially didn't want one. I missed the first orange pauldron figure but after I got the regular Stormtrooper I didn't think I'd want this. Seeing it in person changed my mind, couldn't resist, and it's much cleaner looking than the first one.

Well I just picked up my first Star Wars Black Series figure. Funny, there have only been 2 figures from the 6 inch line I said to myself I'd buy on sight, and they've both been out for months and yet I've never seen either of them (Ep.III Anakin & Vader). I've checked every store that I know of for them, and the closest I've found is Ep.VI Luke, which I finally decided to pick up after checking that walgreens for vader, and just seeing the same Luke sitting there every time. I caved, and minus a few minor things I'm pretty impressed. I just seriously need to get my hands on Vader and Anakin, is anybody finding them relatively easily? Is it distribution in my area? Or hasbro's distribution in general? Also, how rare is the prototype boba fett? I just found one, and I didn't know they've been out for so long, and I was just curious as to whether or not I need to go ahead and pick him up or if he'll be easy to find in the next little bit. Thanks for the help!

I've been finding Vader at Walgreens and Toys R Us with ease, already seen like 5 in person. I will say though that when returning to the same store about a week later the rest are gone. I'd say the Proto-Fett is semi-rare to just uncommon, it's very highly demanded apparently but now it seems Walgreens is stepping up the distribution with people finding like 8 at once now.
