I've always been intrigued by the steel books but don't have any yet. I got it at a wholesale club, BJs. They are usually pretty cheap the first week after they come out, but then go back up in price.

Steelbooks just need to become the standard in disc storage.

I bought some new reading material since B&N has a buy 2 get 1 free special on graphic novels running until the first part of next month: Elektra Assassin Elektra Bloodlines Amazing Spider Man Volume 1 The Parker Luck And I also picked up these two items: Star Wars The Black Series Jabba’s Skiff Guard DC Comics Multiverse Arkham Knight Harley Quinn

Aside from the fact that I've always felt like DC's 3.75 figures look like high end happy meal toys, I think its kind of tacky how they put ADULT COLLECTOR on top like that. I can't wait for that game, though.

And here I thought the 30% the ones at Barnes and Noble have was pretty good. I know nothing about Magic the Gathering anymore but the figures looked pretty nice. Might have to swing by Target here and see if I can score a good deal as well.

ok finally said F it and decided to upload w/ photobucket! anyways, the other day I took a break while in Shreveport and noticed these things on sale at Hobby Lobby (of all places). The books weren't too heavy and had a huge square hole in the middle of it! maybe big enough for a nice Superman figure or w/e didn't buy anything that day but might go to the local one here tomorrow and buy something *shrugs*

God damn Barnes & Noble and their coupons:
I got Kiryu 2003 for $85 and the Doctor Who BD set for $60 (and I still needed to buy S7 and the two specials, but this was the better deal).

Dem Mecha-Gs!
It came with that Batman in the black, red, and orange. It's "Batman & Tiger Claw" from the Unlimited line.

I was supposed to be finalizing my Christmas shopping for my friends and family, but I couldn't help but pick up a few things for myself:
I believe it was Arker TimothyR who was talking about the diminishing quality in all of the TF series, even Generations, and I have to agree. Arcee and Chromia are tolerable. Adequate at best. I'm glad to have a Gen 1-styled Arcee, but she leaves a lot to be desired. Chromia is a little more disappointing. When compared to the Prime version of Arcee, who Chromia's body was "borrowed" from, Arcee is much more substantial and feels like she is just of a higher quality. Oh well, I still like them, I'm just not blown away, or even really impressed, like I had hoped. Conversely, I was exceedingly paranoid about the durability and quality of the Robocop Vs. Terminator Endoskeleton Gunner, but he is AWESOME ! I want to get the rest of the line now, I'm that happy with him. I have mixed feelings about NECA, due to their hit-or-miss QC, but this guy, although slightly delicate, is quite impressive. Also picked up some Hot Wheels, but I'll post them in the HW/Matchbox thread.

Do you have all the Starscream clones from the Animated series?? Thundercracker, and Sunstorm. I only ever got the Dinobots and Blurr, Hot Rod, and Arcee from Animated.

The Seekers are far and away my favorite characters from the series over the years. Outside of my Prime collection, the majority of my TF collection has been of Starscream and his cohorts. |

I have Starscream and now Skywarp in Voyager class. I will probably be picking up Sunstorm soon if I can find him somewhere at a decent price, although I'm considering chipping in the extra dough to get the Takara version...because I really dig the gold on top of the orange. I don't have Animated Thundercracker because he was only made as a Commander/Legion/Legends class. I really wanted the subscription Slipstream, but unfortunately she is a TF Prime version, and would feel somewhat out of place in my TF Prime collection (being that I only collected characters that actually appeared in the show...) although she's still a possibility, because you can never have too many fembots.

That said...eff that noise. No way am I dropping car payments on a voyager class figure. If that were the case, I would have picked up iGear's Raptor Squad by now...lol. There's always the option of going to a guy like Cheetimus Prime and asking about a commission, but I'm sure that would be expensive as well, especially for a bucket list completeionist item. |

Not sure a good place to ask this but guess this is as good as any. These new Former combiner war figures, are they a continuation of Generations or something new/rebooted? Just wondering. They do look good from the pics I've seen.

If you haven't had a major QC issue with NECA figures then you should consider yourself lucky. I've either had or seen several major QC issues with their Predator figures. There are instances of warped wrist blades in package, broken joints in package or hip and knee joints that just won't hold a pose no matter how careful you are with them. And of course there are minor issues with paint apps. I know that goes on with nearly every figure line that's out there but some of the instances I've seen on NECA's figures have been so horrendous it makes me wonder how they could allow something like that to be shipped out to be sold at a retail store. I've noticed they're increasing the price on the forthcoming series 13 of Predator so at this point I have to say that I've had enough of NECA's products. And if I've had or observed that many problems just with their Predator line then I know I'm not the only one who has had problems with them. NECA has had more than enough opportunity to straighten out the ongoing QC issues but it seems pretty obvious that they care more about their profit margin than turning out a quality product. I can't say I'm surprised they're going that route because that's what it's all about in the corporate sector: money over quality. Best of luck to you in continuing to successfully avoid the QC issues.
