^ I don't get the motor bikes either, they look more like riding lawn mowers.
Nice onslaught thorOdinson! I thought about picking up the Legends version but I didn't like the head, like yours much better. As for vision, I gave up on trying to find one at a decent price. I had vortious cast a red head and found a loose body on eBay, threw some folk art acrylic bright green multi surface paint on the head and saved some money. Finally finished (should say assembled) him this week I almost want to do another one on the newer buck.

If we're on the wish list, I'd love to get the SDCC exclusive widely released, like Tiger Shark or Radioactive Man.... re-issuing Crimson Dynamo or Iron Monger from IM2 would be an option if they want to stay on comic-based characters without creating new molds.
On-topic question: sales continue in France, and there's some Avengers Movie Quinjets marked down at 15$ near my office, is it worth it? (the Iron Man included is crap, I already know that ) The jet was more Gun metal and it came with more posable figures |

Man I really want a Quinjet. I passed on one a while back for $20 at TJ Maxx because I wanted the Costco one with the better color. Now that I have both helicarriers I really wouldn't mind either one, but I'm not about to drop $30-$40 on it which is what I typically see them going for on ebay.

I have both Quinjets, I got the Costco version on ebay for 12$ MIB last year, (Ironically the Costco near me never actually got them in stock) The Cap and Iron man that came with it are both repaints of the Avengers movie figures, unlike the standard one that comes with a lesser articulated vehicle pack in version of Iron man. The Costco version has a much better paint scheme, and a red canopy and accents. I think it's like a "stealth mode" version. I haven't looked recently, but for a wile all of the Quinjets were going dirt cheep on ebay, especially loose. I remember seeing one go for like 4$.

I've mentioned before that the Avengers Assemble figures are $5 at discount stores. I can only find Thor & Hawkeye in my area. Has anyone seen or can grab the big Hulk & some Black widows for me? Also is there a site in english that I can read about the Revoltechs? Honestly looking for their future figures. Would be sick as hell if they do other Marvel characters in the 3-3/4" scale.
P.S. I've got a good bit of customs in the works. Baron Von Strucker, Bowman, Tactical Force, & Militant to name a few. I have no problem building the customs. I do however hate to paint. I'm trying to get my sister who is an amazing artist to do them for me, but I may see Bigfoot before that. So is there a service for this?

Just incase anyone hasnt seen them, there is a guy in Malaysia that has youtube reviews up of the newest infinite figures.
After seeing them in hand I'm still like eeeehh ?! The Blue Beast dosent look to bad, with its vibrant color he does look like he bounced right out the comic, but no waist body movement is annoying to say the least. Had to comment on the guys page, he kept saying Dark beast on the variant and it bothered me lol. Sandman is awesome, so glad i grabbed one loose from ebay, I think I'll wait to see if my comicshop gets the variant. And I know I pissed him off when I commented on his review of Bishop, cause he had to respond...lol, but he raved and gave the figure like a 9/10 !!??? Now I know its his page and he did admit that hes biased toward the character, which I get, but at the same if you love the character this figure should piss you off to no end lol. I stated , thanks for the review and admitting your biased , but 9/10 ? With the skinny arms, One hand closed but two guns , and no energy effect, the lack of articulation and this new shiny (happy meal plastic ) I was just confused.Black Cat, I was thinking about getting her, but IDK...the figure is ok..maybe use the head and have someone custom a body for me... Any who thats my rant for the morning..go check them out to see what ya think of them Last edited by samsson37; 01-28-2015 at 06:33 AM.. |

Wow, you guys who create your own figures are just amazing!!! I so wish i could do what you do. Ever thought of teaching a class for profit? I'd pay to learn these skills. Do any of you make stuff for others to buy?

A Black Cat body should be relatively easy actually; an AA Black Widow body with a bit of a repaint for the gold bits, plus a smidgen of sculpting for white frills and you're done.

I finally saw some decent pics of the 5 POA Age of Ultron figures in Previews. They're definitely tweaked to match their AoU appearances (Cap has the red stuff on his chest, for instance), but they literally seem to only be releasing the biggest shelf-warmers in their movie/TV lines of this scale - Thor, Cap, Hulk, and Tony. Shit, even 2.5 scale gets War Machine, Hawkeye, Widow, and Fury, not to mention Ultron minions.

I thought chefatron was in Manila, which is in the Philippines. I know it's right next to Malaysia, but still. I watched his reviews back when Universe was still going strong.

What was annoying to me is we all love this line, and Hasbro knows it..so they give us crap versons of figures we want..with the thought process of you have no alternative so you will just take what we give you cause you really want that character. His 9/10 on Bishop fed into that thought process, which makes it worse for us... But its my veiw so... :-/ |

I wouldn't say "crap versions" so much as just "meh" or "barely passing." To me they'd have to be all 5POA with minimal sculpting, like those 5POA Avengers Assemble figures pegwarming the shit out of my stores. At least these still have more than 5POA and they do have some nice sculpting for the scale, so overall they're a "meh" to me. That being said I still want them to make certain characters even though I know they apparently won't be as articulated as some of the great MU stuff.
