My Chinese seller MU Black Cat also arrived in the mail today, and while I had some slight trouble with it in the beginning (her right arm was stuck at the elbow...I had to finagle it a bit with an exacto knife and a hair dryer as well as a little TLC to get the joint moving properly,) I was pleasantly surprised.
Easiest way to deal with that is run it under hot water and work is a bit. If it doesn't give easily use more water then stick it in the freezer with the elbow bent for like 15 minutes. That should harden and expand it enough to free the joint for movement.

Happened across a Resident Evil manga that I never knew existed, called The Marhawa Desire. Not bad. It's as over the top as the last several games (one of the pages below has Chris "boulder punch" Redfield exploding a Cerberus hound's head with his fist) but it works in this format. This first volume is mostly setup of course, and the B.S.A.A. don't even arrive at the primary biohazard site, but it's good enough that I have the second volume ordered, and 3-5 pre-ordered.

Hmmm. I saw that the last time I was in Books-A-Million and with RE being one of my favorite game franchises ever (having a blast with REmake HD) and Chris being my favorite character of said franchise I flipped through it real quick and was disappointed at how little he was in it (or the B.S.A.A. in general for that matter). But I didn't know it was just vol. 1 of a series. I thought it was some sort of one-off prequel to RE6 or something. Think I'll pick it up the next time I head over there.

I REALLY want that Alien. The Figuarts Iron Man figures are amazing. I like the metal in the feet, gives a good heft and helps them stand. The Figma ones are awesome as well- tough to pick a favorite. |

On-topic: Got me one of those expensives Stockholm dollhouses for 29$ on clearance in France... the scale matches perfectly 3.75 figs, and the roof can hold a movie Quinjet... I think I have found my future Avengers Mansion!

I absolutely recommend the dog alien. My favourite Neca xeno for sure. Totally agree about the Figuarts Patriot, the die cast feet are excellent. I've actually ordered the Figma Iron Man after seeing such praise for it, can't wait to get them set up together!

I have them on different displays but I think the figma is a bit taller. It is close to marvel legends scale though not quite there. The War machine figuarts is awesome as well. I really wanted the mk42 with the couch but I am glad I waited for the AOU mk43. I really hope they make a hulkbuster and black widow. I know Marvel select is making a widow but everyone is all in different scale so it is crazy trying to set up a display.

Hahaha, I published it in France last year, it's a very cool manga, but it's more mystery than action-packed, except for the last part. I won't spoil you, but you are right, this manga was supposed to link RE Revelations and RE6. One of my best sales of 2012-2013. Too bad the manga is published only now in the US as Capcom US is touchy with merchandising (I can't release my french Capcom-based mangas in Quebec because of them as well...)
I got volume 2 today, and you just got me a whole lot more excited about this series. More mystery than action sounds good to me, and Revelations was my favorite RE game since they changed into third-person shooters. Been wondering when those story threads would get picked up. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out. |

where i live, multiverse figures are now $11.99, makes it all the more unbelievable that most of them lack and decent accessories.. i mean.. for a few more dollars people could get the neca '89 batman.. with different hands his grapple gun and batarang.
anyways.. these figures aren't terrible.. but the lack of accessories kills it for me. especially for bad guys. |
