Welcome to Latveria! Stay as long as you can. Nice armies UKMU!
As for Chris Evans, I was neutral when he was announced as Cap (how can Human Torch also be Steve Rogers). Chris has come a long way since his banana split mankini in Not Another Teen Movie. Now I can't picture anyone else as Steve Rogers. I read some article on him a while back where he said he hated doing media tours for Fantastic 4 and would sneak away just to not deal with media. I think he really hated preparing for the first avenger, like hated the workouts and diet etc. Maybe he was like Birdman... these actors hate to be typecast. |

Oh actors...lol get cast as a iconic character.. definitely have job security for years...multi movie contract..equally making millions..techniquely could do this one part and be set for life.....what do they say....I'm not happy. I feel like I'm being typecast...damn I wish I had it so bad. Leonard nemoy, will shaetner, and Adam west seem so bummed out lol

I'm glad someone sees my point lol.
Ask Terrance Howard how mad he is about losing his reoccurring marvel role lmao... I bet he wish he had a damn 9 movie deal !! Even if your reg movie is a success.. they normally only do a trilogy .. at marvel you get 9 !!! Plus ...you get a damn toy of yourself . I'll take that over a damn Oscar... ppl running around paying $50-$100 for a figure of me...that's a ego stroke.... like how I got us back on toy topic ;-) |

^ I agree. Case in point Toby McGuire... what has he done since the spidey movies? I didn't hear Heath Ledger whining about playing the Joker, and he was amazing... won an oscar, just left us too soon. I could see Evans doing a lot of other stuff though, he is a good actor.
Anyone get the new wave yet... would love some pics. I've heard from a few different people that the torso is super loose on Sandman. |

I think the key is to get yourself type cast into multiple roles
look at Harrison ford, He is Han Solo, He is Indiana Jones, He is Jack Ryan, he is ... uh the cop from Blade Runner, who's name escapes me. same with Stallone, he's got Rambo, Rocky, the guy from the expendables. and he's been milking a couple of those cows since before I was born. (Side note, way to many of our action stars have hung out waaaaay past there expiration date, where are all the young action stars? Ford's coming back as grandpa Solo we already got Indiana Jones and the Nursing home of doom, they gave us AARP Rambo and Rocky, and Arnold is gonna be the T-800 year old in the next Terminator and . there comes a time for new blood! |

So...anyone else happy they're finally releasing Emma Frost? And I just ordered the first 3 volumes of Astonishing X-Men from Amazon too.
I'm thinking of beefing up my MU (can we still call them that) X-Men but I'm worried that it'll be pretty expensive though. |

That was an off the cuff remark and he wasn't serious. Is clarified like a day later. He just wants to do other things and have time to direct. He said he won't likely ever stop acting. Maybe he gets a couple years off while we get Bucky Cap and then he comes back or something.

I liked The Losers and thought he was the best part.
Well I was lucky to find Archangel in a Target back when he was new-ish and Havok is cool and all but him and Prof. X are a little low on my list. The first ones I'm going to try and track down when I get a bit of extra walking around money (probably around my b-day in a couple of months) are Omega Red (completely forgot they made him), Apocalypse, and an new Colossus (mine's arm broke and I had to glue it back on). And maybe Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Beast if I can afford them. |

I caved in and got the ionic Wonder Man at my local grocery store, I feel just a tad like I bought it to show my store that when they get new stuff out people buy it. They are just generally upgrading the entire store, it's been under construction for almost a year now, and they're really beefing up the toy section to match the new size of the store. So yay, I have one new place to have a better chance of finding Legends and SW Black Series figures since they're getting those now too.

Can finally say NEXT MONTH when referring to AoU at cinema!!!!! April 24..... Come on and get here. Pulling a sickie that day, will have to tell the head teacher the lad has a dentist appointment or something!
We were watching tele before the school run and an advert came on for ALL Avengers toys all in one!!! Lego, mashers, a Cap skateboard, match attax cards, that giant hulk buster, a Black Widow nerf shooter..... All kinds of different lines from all kinds of companies in one advert...... Well good that.

Scrolled back through several days worth of pages and didn't see any mention of it, so I'd like to verify that the new Infinite Series Beast figure doesn't seem to be able to achieve any actual Beast-like poses and basically has only neck cut articulation for his head; if you somehow get his legs in any kind of crouching action pose, he's stuck looking downward. I got him for $10 haggling at a convention this weekend, but this guy is a $7-8 figure at best. Sculpt and color are his only real redeeming factors. =(

So Amazon had Grey Beast, Black Cat and Sandman at $14.99 each, direct from Amazon, free shipping with Amazon Prime. I went ahead and ordered at that price as that's my acceptable price mark for figures I just cannot wait on. It's worth it because I think retail is going to be what, about $13, IF you can find them. So those should be coming to me this week. And that's one more wave done closer to the Emma wave.

I love your Doom set up brother!!!!! Looks nice with 10 around him, think that is what I will build to. Cheers for the inspiration!!! I like those T-800 figures a lot, I want some now. Think I will try to work them into an AIM team somehow.
The sucks about Beast being total shite. I figured (pun) as much though. You got a hell of a deal there though Ultra at a tenner all in. Everyone else is paying $13-$15 for retail and Amazon. What a state we are in boys. Also I hear from several people the Sandman is one wobbly bastard! Torso to ab joint is looser than Miley Cyrus at a chicken wing convention......greasy.

I just kind of figured that with the new less pose style the series is going to that none of these new figures would be as good as the old ones unless they re-use the Jim Lee buck again. I get the feeling they'd rather be cheap and use the new less articulated bucks than the great Jim Lee buck, good thing they made and I got all of my favorite characters from the better days of the line.

Saddest thing is that from the waist down, articulation on the new body Infinite figures is fantastic, but they are more or less bricks up top. No matter how you mess with the legs, the figures look like they're doing a karate horse stance because of their perfectly straight upper body. Frustrating as hell. |
