Hey chaps, just a quick one, I know its not Universe related but some of you might have seen me mention I picked up a set of the Legends Infinite Spider-Man series at the weekend. I couldn't resist as it was a bargain. Anyway I loved the look of these figures so much in the boxes I was thinking of dropping my pursuit of the Universe collection in favour of Legends, that is until I opened them.
So yesterday afternoon I was all set, settled myself down at the dining room table with my penknife to open them up, first one I opened was the Spider-man 2 figure at first glance seemed a nice figure and I liked the fact you got an additional pair of hands to swap over. My problem started with the shoulder joint on one of the arms, it was so stiff I was afraid if I forced it more it would break off. As this was my first experience in the actual handling of any action figures for about 20 years I gave it the benefit and thought it was just a faulty one. Next up I opened Black Cat the leg joints on this where it joins the torso were so loose I couldn't stand her up as she just kept flopping over. Next up I opened up the Beetle this seemed all OK, until now I had 4 of the Green Goblin body parts opened so I thought id start building this up, the first arm went in fine but noticed the shoulder joint looked like it had over lapping plastic and would not budge once again didn't want to go too far as I might have broke it, lastly the legs there was no way on earth I could get these on they were stiff as anything, I even went as far as watching a few vids on you tube and they just seem to push on with a little to no force and a nice click sound, not a chance with mine. So did I get a total dud, probably my own fault for sifting through for 10 minutes to get the best boxes that weren't bent or marked. Ha Anyway you'll be happy to know after this I had to see if the Universe figures were the same, I opened up the single carded figures I had (Captain America & Gladiator) WOW I love these figures(I can't believe they are from the same company), everything moved greatly and I love how much detail you get in such small figures, this is the way I'm defo going, in fact just ordered another 4 Comic packs, cant wait. Now I just need to take the Legends figures back to the shop. |

^^^ 3.75" is the way forward!!!
Actually the only reason I collect MU/MI is because I really don't have room for 200 odd 6" figures. I went back to the Disney store and they'd restocked so I was able to grab Bishop and Beast, I passed on Sandman, I've got the Spider-Man 3 one placeholding at the moment so no rush. If you see Bishop or Black Cat you probably want to grab them immediately, especially Bishop.

Heat the joints with a little hot water and the legs will pop on
Stuck joints you can either heat or freeze and work them slowly and they will come loose

Small elastic band wrapped around the peg will sort that out or a tiny spot of superglue and just keep moving the top half around until it dries

Not bad. The Planet has them pre-order for £10.99, so I guess that's the new rate for these things.

A little random but just out of curiosity, did any of you guys ever see the unmasked variant of the Avengers Rocket Grenade Captain America figure in any stores? Never found it in the end.

Dammit.... I cannot find my bag with stands and flight stands ANYWHERE!!!! I had them in a Sainsbury orange bag. I am getting a sinking feeling they got chucked out!!! 50-70 clear pro-tech figure stands and 8 stage 3 flight stands.
Thought I would share my frustrations with the lads. Also, I need some Dr. DOOM figures, the single carded olive green #15 ones. If anyone can help I can trade just about any figure for more of these (like for like prices) I can always acquire others figures again, but it seems I cannot locate more of the olive green Dooms. Law78... 8 I am still waiting for my mate to get back to me. I have found out he is abroad at the moment. Have you joined the FaceBook groups there? There are always deals abound there...just do your research first and ASK the group about a member BEFORE purchasing. Jimmy and primacon... I will send you your decals out as soon as I find your packages again! I am doing some remodelling and apparently am prone to losing everything!
