Personally, I only want the upcoming Banner Hulk in that planned 3pk. I'm not sure what I'll do with these surplus Ruffalo Hulks. Many fans seem to like these Ruffalo Hulks, while I consider the sculpt adequate-to-good, there have been many superior Hulks from ToyBiz and Hasbro. |

I lucked out and found the whole wave on amazon, plus I had a gift card and a promo code, so I ended up paying 60 bucks for 6 figures. Takes me back to the good ol toy biz days where you could finish a wave under 70.

There doesn't seem to be much of a difference. Except for the strange lack of texture on the torso of this most recent Hulk. At least that's what I've been able to glean off of the pics I've viewed thus far...

I will say Toy Biz legends IMO weren't very pleasing to the eye, I think Hasbro seem to have it down. I like the bucks they use and the articulation is good enough for me. bless your soul.

I don't usually complain about paint issues since I'm fine cleaning up little errors here or there, but man, Hellcat's lower legs look pretty damn crappy even for my loose standards. It probably would've looked better if Hasbro molded in yellow and painted the blue boots on top, but thinking back to the TRU X-Men set where they actually did that, that also didn't turn out well. Whatever factory Hasbro is using needs to step their yellow game up for real.

@ChuckSass
Additionally, the Avengers 2 Hulk has two fists...and the oh so 'fashion forward' - capri-pants. Regarding Hasbro vs Toybiz, I like them both and each run has its individual strengths and weaknesses. This most recent run for Hasbro has had me purchasing more complete waves than ever before. For the 2015 offerings, the only figures I will not buy are that Amazon Thor 3pk and the TRU Shield 3Pk. Everything else is a must have...I really hope Hasbro doesn't push back that Guardians of the Galaxy 5pk they projected. |

@Spyne98
As you know Spyne, I'm a pretty loyal fan of the ToyBiz era of ML. However, I have to agree that Hasbro is developing an edge over the older line (especially the post Legends relaunch stuff)...there are still certain characters with which I prefer their older incarnations, but that list is shrinking. While I'd still like to see the creation of a few more bucks and bit more sculpted molding on figs (costume accents like gloves/tunics/raised trim on boots and insignias/loose fitting clothes), the new legends are aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, I'm blown away by the fan service in the form of semi-obscure characters that wouldn't have seen the light of day in the past (i.e. Satana, Batroc, Hellcat, Machine Man, Medusa, Ghost and the such). I truly hope SDCC ushers in that GotG 5pk, but with the many curve balls Hasbro has been throwing our way (I mean that in a very positive way!), we could literally see anything pop up this summer! Keep hitting your stride Hasbro! |

I'm really hoping for either a 90's X-Factor, New Mutants (would be my number one pick) or Alpha Flight.
Dammit Hasbro, just give us the promised Magik and the MIA Moonstar. I would also be happy with a Classic Thunderbolts set, with a DIFFERENT Songbird than is MIA (though I'd take her over none), Citizen V, Mach IV, Moonstone (different from the one we have) and Fixer. |

I would love to get some of the more classic Thunderbolts myself!! I do however feel it will be a mystical SDCC exclusive this year with Magic,Dorrmammu and some other goodies... Maybe brother Voodoo??
I'm also hoping for a new Comic accurate GAURDIANS set! Last edited by Starlord67; 04-01-2015 at 01:39 PM.. |
