My Chinese Ebay seller SW figures arrived today, and I was VERY happy, especially considering the priced I got them for (roughly $5.99 a figure, with Ahsoka being $9.99).
I stopped by TRU on the way home today, and while I didn't find anything I was looking for, I did noticed that the 5POA Saga Legends figures have jumped up in price to $9.99. I'm not sure if this is Hasbro mandated, or more on TRU's end, and while I don't normally complain about 5POA price points, that is F'n insanity. They are now the same price as Black Series figures (which defeats the purpose of the 5POA figures to begin with, which is to get the figures out at a lower price point to appeal to children,) and I find it amazing that I can now order stuff from China on Ebay shipped at a cheaper price point than a 5POA figure sitting on the peg right here in the good ole' USA. Really bad timing too...as 5POA figures are usually perfect Easter basket stuffers due to their cheap price points, but I guess TRU has no intention of moving product this year during the Easter season. |

^ it sucks what's happening to the 1/18 scale.
Thanks to Antony916 and 3223rafael for reporting that the dc multiverse line may be ending. I stopped by TRU and picked up the dc figures on sale for $5 at TRU (including bull dike joker) and joes were on sale for $4. I was holding out for the date night pack to get an AC cat woman but I'm not sure if that's still in the pipeline. |

I thought everyone hated this line?

Check out who I found today:
So I have a question, who are the people on teh back of the boxes that don't have any names? The Thanos one is something like Allied Alias, there is a woman with Scarlet Witch, two different Spider-Girls, someone opposite Spider-Woman, etc. WHy don't they put their actual names on their boxes?

I know this is a long shot but if you are looking for DC 3.75 Arkham figures check Walgreens, sometimes they are in the regular toy area, but they have another section in the EASTER area that is currently set up. I have seen Two Face, Scarecrow, Hush and Arkham Knight stuffed in the shelf display for kids Easter toys.

Really bad timing too...as 5POA figures are usually perfect Easter basket stuffers due to their cheap price points, but I guess TRU has no intention of moving product this year during the Easter season. i hate the 5POA figures, even as a kid i would've hated them. i remember as a kid, my favorite toys were ones that were articulated.. like the MMPR flip heads, or the kick ass larger figures. now those were awesome. i have yet to see a child look at or get excited over any of those 5POA figures. i just don't understand them. and at $10.. you're right, that's totally insane. it has to be TRU. they did the same thing with transformers. the generations deluxe figures are now $20, and the leader figures are now $50. they're roughly $5 more than every other retailer which is a lot. they're going to price themselves right out of the market. the only thing they're good for at this point are neca type figures and exclusives.. otherwise, almost* everything else is available much cheaper at walmart or target. the only thing that can keep TRU afloat is having a wider selection, and getting new figures in before any of the other retailers. i think they're at a tipping point. their prices are going to continue to rise. soon, even the neca type stuff they have is going to cost as much as it would in a local comic book shop and when that happens, what's the point of going to TRU?. if they keep this up, it's not going to be pretty. aren't they having trouble as it is? you'd think they'd try to make it more inviting, level off the prices, know their products, get the newest stuff in quick, have some sales, etc. the last thing they should be doing is raising their prices AGAIN. i never thought i'd see the day that a deluxe transformer would cost $20 (lets not forget that transformers these days have been considerably simplified). it's sickening. i know they need to make money, but raising the prices like this isn't going to help them the way they think it will. with e-tailers getting items in stock quicker, a lot of places have free shipping past a certain amount, there's amazon prime, and hasbro toy shop almost always has a coupon code, the most recent one gave you 20% off + free shipping. it's going to continue to get even more difficult for toys r us to thrive, and that's without raising prices. since they have raised their prices significantly again, i just can't see their business sustaining for very long. i feel that their loss of customers is going to hurt them more than the price hike is going to help. but hey, what do i know. |

they'll probably never make a new buck for him as using an existing mold is much cheaper. guess we'll just have to get used to it lol.

The variants for the Arkham Knight prelude series have sold out almost immediately online. The variant for issue #2 has already sold out and it doesn't come out until this coming Wednesday.

This figure just came out this week, or yesterday apparently! I got mine at my LCS and I gotta say I'm very pleased. They really did step up the durability and aesthetic for this figure compared to the wave one figures. Most notably the pins for any of the hinge joints are hidden now, and that was one of the more common gripes about the early figures. The plastic also feels a lot more sturdy and less brittle, and none of the pose was resistant or frustrating out of the box. I will say that I prefer Two-Face's accessories a good deal more and overall I feel like this just wasn't a great episode to choose for Joker to get accessories from. He has the bubble helmet which looks ugly on him because of the plastic seam, a knife which looks like an awl (versatility!), a comb which he can't bring to his head and is also ludicrously small and probably easy to lose, a fashionable pearl necklace, and a telescope to round things out, oh and the hands. Overall I like The Joker figure a very good deal, I just wish that they would've chosen a better episode for accessories. He does size up well with my only other animated Batman figure, and now I'm even more eager to get that Phantasm two-pack. Mine didn't have any issues or break at all but I would still urge a practice of caution since it is DCC and sometimes it's not 100% across the board with their figures and breaking or not.

Issue # 1 is might become rare from what my LCS guy was telling me, i asked why? he claims issue one is the first appearance of Arkham knight.

After spotting case after case of both the Odin and Thanos Avengers waves, I finally found a case of the new Spidey Legends at my last stop of the day.
I wanted Ultimate Spider-Woman the most, but I'm waiting to find one that has decent paint. She doesn't seem to be highly in demand, so I don't think that I'll have any trouble finding others. I did however spot (and buy ) Spider-Man 2099, and his paint looks great. I'm relieved to have found him so soon (and especially one that looks so good, given the QC issues people have been reporting with this wave), as he and Daredevil seem to be the most popular figures in that wave.

Are the parts that come with Spider-Woman Jessica Drew and the parts that come with Helcat different? I really like what they did with the Odin line, so you won't really have left-over parts that are just a waste of plastic.
