The baby Groot looks like that one from the 3 pack. I'm ordering it but mostly for the Groot and Gamora. If you use the code MARVEL20, it will save you an extra $20. |

Man, great box set, but I already have all of those figures, including a custom Drax using that exact recipe of parts (which I believe was first used by a customizer named SteveID. Props to Steve. =) And if it ain't fishnet bodystocking Gamora or white Mass Effect Armor Gamora, I ain't interested. lol... saving my monies for the hulkbuster and ant-man waves.

Is Gamora covered up in some attempt at modesty? That would be hilarious... Edit: Also, what's with the extra non-fist hands for Drax (I'm assuming)? Are they meant to hold the smaller knives? I'd prefer fists... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 04-24-2015 at 02:22 PM.. |

Am I missing something? I do not see anywhere on their site to enter a coupon code. They automatically added the free shipping code.
Nevermind, I miss-read something on the payment screen....derpa derp Last edited by Kirathis; 04-24-2015 at 03:43 PM.. Reason: Read fail |

The grand total ends up being $99.99 after the promotional coupon. The discount is time sensitive, so anyone planning to take advantage should try to do so before the expiration date.

Well, personal tastes account for much in life...
Depending on the level of sculpted detail (which I can't make out at the moment), this happens to be the costume of choice for me. If the skulls, straps, and boots aren't molded details...then my choice would be the more recent 'armored' Gamora. |

You could very well be right. Honestly, my only investments in super-"anything" at moment are the figs and some TPB's. My opinion that the books suck has been the same for some 5-6yrs now. I don't even watch the super-flicks in the theaters; I view the phenomenon as the latest source of fad-entertainment, one that Hollywood will inevitably run dry. Nor do I really care about Marvel/Disney/DC/Time-Warner's collective fates as publishing companies.
For what it's worth, I'm sorry this stuff seems to vex you so and I'm glad you were able to get that off your chest. I find opining about these things entertaining and a distraction from life's stressors. I also find it more than "passing strange" (to borrow from Thor) that there have been no FF figs in quite some time...we haven't even seen many ancillary characters - what was the last Legend? Terrax?..Blastaar?..but more for his relation to Annihilation than FF. Forget the brouhaha regarding movie rights **which happens to be real and not just representative of fanboy conjecture, but written about by journalists -if you can consider bloggers to be such- and supported by comic-culture-media** , or even the ominous (to some) comic cancellations...that stuff aside, I think we can all agree that FF and its pantheon of characters constantly rank in polls of figs for which fans want service. Why not deliver? Why leave the cupboard bare when you know these figs would move and that you could make money? There has to be some reason for what feels very much like a blackout regrading FF figs. I strongly doubt that it's simply because the books suck. Don't worry, this isn't a flame war. This is just a discussion. Where are the figs? It's not a matter of weak brand recognition (due to flagging FF sales)...we got Hellcat, Batroc, and Machine-Man recently. I'm not sure one can get any more obscure than those characters and FF figs could've/should've seen the light of day before them..even though I'm very happy with Aaron and Patsy! Quote:
I'll admit, the movies weren't all that great, but some awesome and well sculpted figures came out of them, and they work well with all the Marvel movie-verse stuff out there today! Quote:
Unless you catch someone in the aisle with 3 or 4 of those highly sought after Daredevils or Rocket Racoons, pushing over children and glaring at you with death in their eyes when they catch you eyeballing their trophies, chances are those figures were grabbed by a regular everyday Joe like myself ten minutes before you got there, with a little luck and a little bit of extra time on my hands. And no...I don't camp out in front of stores at 9am waiting for my local Target or TRU to open so I could be the first to pick over the good stuff. I just needed to pick up some more TP for the house, and some formula for the baby... =P Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 04-24-2015 at 07:10 PM.. |

@Kirathis
Yeah, I'm really hoping that doesn't stay. Gamora's gonna be that kid doing her own thing with a cloth cape while everyone else sports a hard-plastic jammy! @Trivial Psychic What?...you...you mean we aren't going to have a fight? Awwwwwww man! Just when I'd sharpened my very best inter-tube barbs (with the full intent of embarrassing myself in the eyes of all the adults in the room), you up and demonstrate yourself to be a reasoned individual?!?! In all seriousness...hear, hear for civil discourse. Despite what some might believe, I don't dismiss people with whom I disagree. There is something to be learned from every interaction...from every individual...even those that stand on the opposite side of your own rationale. My personal belief is that when you deny someone a 'voice' or 'audience', you stymie your own growth. Such an action serves as a tacit endorsement of what I find problematic about status quo. Dogmatic/subjective/myopic personal perspectives are the bane of social communities...like this one. Just give me a SILVER SURFER WITH MULTIPLE HANDS MARVEL/DISNEY/HASBRO DAMMIT...background issues (whatever they are) be hanged...yeah, I don't take myself too seriously lol |

Yeah, they MUST do a Silver Surfer!!!! Hopefully they'll do him next year once the next phase starts kicking off with its cosmic theme.

Not to rekindle this dust-up...but none of those cosmic flicks can include Surfer...meh, maybe Marvel will workout a deal similar to Spidey...or maybe Marvel/Hasbro will just decide to say f'it and make a comic version of Surfer as they did with all of those recent X-men...oh wait, Surfer's comic likeness is exactly the same as his screen likeness

Not sure why Surfer can't be in the movies, but I meant for the toys. Hasbro will want to cash in on the theme for Phase 3 being the Infinity Gems, so I'm sure we will start seeing them do a lot of cosmic characters like Surfer, Adam Warlock, Nova (the girl who was Galactus' herald), the Watcher, etc.
This chart may be helpful in conceptualizing the puzzle of Marvel's movie properties... http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content...-Ownership.jpg Edit: I neglected to reflect the toy aspect of your post...hopefully, we will see a cosmic breakout. Only time will tell... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 04-25-2015 at 09:51 AM.. |

Side note: I always called Frankie Raye just by her name when she was a herald. Nova (Richard Rider) had been around since the '70s and Frankie didn't get the title Nova until the '80s.

@TheBlueMarvel
Unfortunately, Annihilus also probably falls inside the FF realm which would also kill the Annihilation movie. @En Sabah Nerd Agreed. More cosmic toys are a must! |

I finally located Spider Woman so now I can complete Thanos. I wasn't impressed with the Hellcat figure so I passed on it.

Finally got the mark 43 and AOU Hulk this weekend. Normally I don't care for movie figures and originally got these for the BAF pieces. But I gotta say I'm really impressed with both. Hulk is even bigger than the previous one (love that) and the head sculpt is so much better. The articulation is great. My only issue isn't the figure's, it's I HATE the new pants. I still want so much a classic purple torn pants classic Hulk but oh well.
