Neither of those Superman(s) I want are likely to happen. We're expected to settle for whatever Mattel decides to put out. |

Nice showcase, Raf.
I believe he was referring to what is arguably the best live-action cinematic portrayal of Joker to-date? Leto might do well in the role, or he might bomb. We won't know until the film comes out. I remember several online boards flooded with comments on how bad Ledger would suck as the Clown Prince of Crime when his casting was announced. In my opinion, he proved them all wrong. All I'm saying is that actors can surprise you. As for Ledger, I actually had full faith he could do it from the moment he was announced. Just like I have faith that Jesse Eisenberg can pull off Lex. It is everything else I have a problem with. Superman should be bright and colorful, NOT dark and de-saturated. Hell, even in The Dark Knight Returns he was colorful compared to the rest of the book.

Heath Ledger was a decent actor but horribly wrong as the Joker. I disliked both his performance and his physical embodiment. I also strongly disliked the part as written.
IMO any live action portrayal of the Joker needs to stay as close as possible to the comics or it doesn't work. So basically something along the lines of Dead End. Also, has anyone else ever thought that putting Mark Hammil in makeup as an aging Joker in a TDKR-style storyline would be amazing? For those who have not seen Dead End: |

Perhaps at another time, now I think it would be too stressful for him to be physically active and do the voice. His face isn't quite right either, I think that because of Star Wars he will always have the good guy look to me. Regardless, Mark Hamill is still the #1 Joker in my book.

I agree that he may not be up to it. I think if he was made out to be aging as in the comic panels in TDKR he would look ok though.
Too bad we can't put his voice into a really awesome actor who has the long, thin face to pull it off. I don't have such high hopes for the next movie in general, but I will defer judgement on JL's acting job until after seeing it. |

People put a certain bar to measure the Joker due to potrayals of TV and Movies. As we do with nearly all Batman Character roles. I will say Heath Leadgers Joker felt more Dangerous. I do hope we do not measure the Kid who plays Joker on Gotham by this stick because he really gave me the creeps

Heath's Joker felt like they took the Joker out of the comics and put him on screen.
Hopefully Leto can do the same, but the grill and tattoos on the forehead need to go.

Did you see his recent episode of the Flash tv series? Dude got to play Trickster again, and had a crazy amount of energy while doing it. Did his Joker voice for most of it too, which was great to hear after a bit of an absence. My favorite episode of the show so far.

Willem Dafoe has a good face for it, just google image "Willem Dafoe Joker" and there's some pretty nice looking images of how he might have looked as the Joker.
I don't watch Arrow, Flash, or any of DC's live action programs, the only DC stuff I've ever really cared about is Batman and all of these new shows don't look appeasing to me. Flash is getting better and cant wait for more episodes Gotham you cant expect batman turning up anytime soon |

I will also be getting it...the arkham figures are to me the closest thing we get to a 7 inch scale movie figure....what I mean by that is they do not look out of place with arrow, flash, or marvel movie selects. (aall of which I collect and display together) I was very excited to hear that they are going to continue this line past the arkham knight game becouse that means maybe, fingers crossed, updates on nightwing, robin, catwoman, two face, and penguin, and some of the arkham asylum charectors folks as well....now all we need is dc collectibles to get the movie rights, and/oor rocksteady to make a justice league game

I am looking forward to the new Scarecrow, Harley, and the Arkham Knight figures, but I am REALLY looking forward to the new Origins 3 pack with Lady Shiva, Electrocutioner, and Harleen Quinzel. 3 brand new figures that have never had figures before. SO HAPPY!! |

The toys are decent, too. I'm still hoping for a "Future Flash" with the white chest emblem. |

These are becoming impossible to find. I picked them up from BBTS when they were first released. It never gets old to see them every once in an hour... Lol

I agree. The only episode I haven't liked all season involved the Bug-Eyed Bandit and her robotic bees. That episode was just... ehh. Otherwise, that series is great. Its lighthearted tone is just what I needed when grimdark fatigue set in. I prefer fun adaptations. I find Arrow unbearable these days.
The toys are decent, too. I'm still hoping for a "Future Flash" with the white chest emblem. As for Arrow, this season has been a mixed bag. It started out really good and now it seems like every other week is a bad episode. I just feel like the writers wrote themselves into a corner and are just making it up as they go along. I'm ready for this season to be over with. Hopefully they will be back on their A game next season. Hell, I wouldn't mind if Flash were to alter history, wiping this season of Arrow out of continuity.

I check the gamestop site daily to check if stores near me got him in yet. I probably should have just ordered him, as a bunch of people are already getting theirs in the mail. But, I like his new look alot!
