Kind of surprised that sold out fast.

I am surprised that the GI Joe and Transformers stuff did not sell out. I knew the Legends and SW Black figure would sell out, but I guess since there were not any TF/Joe crossover stuff they were less popular. And Kre-O has all but dried up now, so I can see that demand would drop too.

Well, I had to go out and do some stuff after I put my order in. I got the confirmation email. Now to sell off the parts of the Ant-Man Set I don't need, so everything except Giant Man.

Well in the comics he is normal sized unless they are in battle or training. He does not just hang around in Giant mode all day.

Do you think they will sell? I mean, I might keep Goliath, but I have no need for the 4 inch figure.

Oh, most definitely... but calling him Giant Man implies that he's in his "battle state". Releasing him at 6-inch height in his costume, they could've just called him Hank Pym or something and included an unmasked head. If it weren't for the 12-inch figure in the SDCC set wearing the same costume, the Ant-Man wave would've been better off with GM as the BAF in my opinion.

I think it is stranger that you get a helmet head to put on the lab coat body. One would think he would take off the helmet in the lab. :-) |

well considering the pic of him, he has the classic ant-man outfit on UNDER the coat. i would have preferred the helmet look.

It felt that no one really wanted the Ant-Man set...it was there for a while. Just 65 bucks for a 12" Cyclops Icon is not my cup.

The Goliath is nice too. If you have the one from the Universe set from a few years back, you can do the whole growing thing in your display. But otherwise, it wasn't the best set.

Wow, the Book of Vishanti set is easily my favourite SDCC exclusive from Marvel Legends. The sculpted details, the paint work, and the characters chosen are fantastic.
Of course, I'm most glad to be able to stand an official Magik figure alongside my other X-Men Legends, although I wish she was on a more adult base (Kitty Pryde's 25 now, so Illyana surely should be around 22?) Anyhow, they're all great figures, and even if you're not familiar with them, they are well worth picking up. |

Judging Illyana's age is difficult considering the aging/deaging/alternate version of her. Looks great btw.
I can't wait to get this (supposedly being delivered tomorrow.) I have a custom Magik I created out of Hope Summers but an offical one is even better. Since I already painted the Hope body in classic New Mutant colors I'm thinking turning her into Moonstar, using the first Valkyrie head (though I'm not sure how well I'll be able to pull off the skin tone) and just repainting the armored arm I did for Magik. Hopefully that will turn out at least passable. if I can deal with my Polaris and Dazzler being repainting Emma Frosts V1 I will find a way to make this work too. And edit OMG totally awesome Rogue there. |
