Those are really cool. Are they only available online? I think they would do well if they were able to get them on the girls toy shelves in places like TRU, Walmart, Target, etc.

Boston Comic Con Figures I Got:
Captain America Black and White SDCC Variant - $25 Marvel Infinite 3 3/4" Bishop Figure - $9 Marvel Universe 3 3/4" Namor figure - $3 Really happy with the prices I got for these figures. I bought the Namor loose. I really love the character Bishop, and I'm used to seeing him pretty expensive for some reason, so I had to buy him. It was funny buying Bishop because it was at a table where everything was overpriced except for this figure which is usually the one that's overpriced. And I really like the SDCC Cap I got. Overall, it was really great. I would have bought more in terms of Marvel 3 3/4" but I had to save money for some other stuff, ya know. Should I keep Cap in the packaging? I didn't pay full price for any of these guys xD The power of the haggle is within me...

Excellent haul, Kama. I like that Namor a lot, though I wish he were in the black outfit rather than the speedo.
As for the I AM ELEMENTAL figures, yes they're only available online as far as I know. |

Since there have been some comments and questions about the I AM ELEMENTAL figures, I thought I'd take a few spotlight pics to showcase them for everyone.
First up is Persistence (super-strength, flight)... Next we have Fear (the ability to drain an object or person of any forward momentum and stop them dead in their tracks)... Bravery, with the ability to generate a protective force field around herself and/or others... Industy, with the ability to control physical (technological) objects as well as create or repair any technology... Energy, who can as her name implies generate and control various types of electromagnetic energy... And Honesty, the one I consider team leader (by virtue of the fact that I have both a differently-colored Kickstarter version as well as all things begin with honesty). Honesty is shown here both in the Kickstarter Red as well as her normal deco. Aside from winged flight, Honesty can make anyone speak or see the truth in any given situation... Each set comes with seven figures, and as luck would have it my set was shorted one when I received it. But the people at I AM ELEMENTAL are exceptional and an Enthusiasm (super-speed) figure is currently on her way to me as we speak. As I noted above, there will also be a 6-inch Courage figure released in November to add to these.

Damn you guys move fast on here these days. Anyway I have some things to share. I won a Deathmask Archangel & Legends Box Set Groot over the weekend on ebay. Marauder Gun Runners have revealed their new Marauder Task Force Valkries Line which I believe goes up on kickstarter tomorrow. & Bossfight Studio showed off the new Ultimate Spartan for their HACKS line.
Also took a few crappy pics of my last 3 customs or kitbash whatever. Anyway.. - Bishop has the lower arms from ROC Heavy Duty & Hands fro the 50th Destro. I really want an extra Cable body to do a full rework but I can't even score a Cable for my collection. - Blade is a Marauder Task Force Body & Grenade loop on left leg. I put 2 of the throwing blades from Bullseye in the loops fits perfectly. The rest is all MU Blade except the pistol which is also from Marauder. - Nick Fury is the Ironman GI Joe Fury head on a MTF body with a Avengers fury Jacket. I think he's pretty freaking awesome.

Bear in mind that the articulation on these, while perfectly acceptable, isn't the same as the older MU figures. They have a ball-jointed head, hinge-jointed shoulders, Hasbro-type elbrows and knees and ball-jointed hips. No torso/waist, wrist, or ankle articulation. So truthfully, they're not much different than Hasbro's latest 3.75" offerings articulation-wise.
As for the quality/build of the figures, they feel great. Every bit as solid as a larger company's product. I have no worries about breaking them at all. And the sculpting and details are crisp with no mushiness. Well worth it as far as I'm concerned, and I love having them. The 6" Courage figure looks to be far more articulated, on par with Marvel Legends and it comes with multiple accessories. Action Figure Courage, the first Core Power for IAmElemental is 6" of power As I said, I'm not sure what it's actual in-fiction story is but I'm most likely going to just have her be a size-changing-giant-type character. |

Oh good, Ares can have a good upgrade; some new weapons and such. Shame those are heads and not helmets.

$25 is my trigger point for all SDCC single carded figures. Loose complete or carded. I would really like to find a Loose compound Hulk at some point.

It looks ace!
Also, where were all you guys last summer when the I AM ELEMENTAL kickstarter was up? They came out a while ago. China bay even had them back in February. They are the first action figure line aimed at young girls and are encouraging them to feel good about themselves. Like Thor meets Anti-Barbie.

That reminds me, I need a Wrecking Crew & a Klaw. There are more villains I need than heroes, I prefer villains outnumbering heroes anyway.

I believe it's been said elsewhere, but I'm among those who wishes that they could go back and redo Bulldozer, Thunderball and Piledriver on the Hercules or new Hyperion buck.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE having the Crew all in place but I wish they were more physically imposing. |
