Does that Yellow Jacket head fit well on that TRON GUARD body? I have several of those with proper Nick Fury mail away jet packs. Would like a better head on them that doesn't look so TRON ish. Maybe get them cast in white to go with the S.H.I.E.L.D. theme.

Alright geezers!
I got my bootleg / Knock-off YELLOW JACKET today. He's pretty much what I expected in terms of quality (not great) but given Hasbro's recent movie figure output I find him perfectly serviceable as is. However I already had plans for this guy and was pretty happy to see my idea to use the head and "arms" on a TRON figure body works okay, although Im waiting for a CLU figure which should work a lot better with his yellow highlights. I think the head would be good to cast for customs (I can send you this one if you want Pilkster?) but to be honest this figure and the set it came in are so cheap you may as well just use this one (if you don't mind the wait from China). As you saw from the pics I sent you and Jedi over on FB I'd say I've pretty much cracked the casting thing down lol send the head over with any other "special heads" and ill get them cast ready for people. Can you sent the tenticles to as I wouldn't mind making a set of those too. Or just taking a picture of them on my finished custom. Once I've cast your head of course. |

The coloured speckles are are from the my picking up the wrong brush to dust them over. as you can see no bubbles or imperfections. my next 8 moulds are setting as I type. Last edited by Pilkster; 08-03-2015 at 02:52 PM.. Reason: Wrong picture |

Well done sir, Vort quality even though this is a second go. Army builder heads like Shield Agents & Kree will sell like hot cakes. Although K Dub might have a thing or two to say about stolen business XD

If you can make a buck or two by all means go for it, but word to the wise I wouldn't mold something just for profit, because odds are no one will actually want to spend the money when the time comes. I still have not molded my Kang's Chair because at the end of the day I have what I wanted and unless someone wants to spend the kind of money it takes to mold it, producing one or two copies would not re-coup my costs. That's just my advice, you never know man you already have a decent following for your customs so you might find a bigger market. Let me know how that Kree mold works out for ya...the head fin gave me a lot of issues, but it was also an early mold where I cut the pour spout in after and like I mentioned in my tutorial was not the best technique. With that pic though, Korg custom with a sword he can't carry. It pisses me off that the didn't just make a new hand for Korg so he could hold a weapon. But no. He just gets a shield & I'll have to drill a hole through one of his fists to hold a W W Hulk axe.

So as we know, Pilk is doing casting now, and he's got some great heads right now, and the Warlock/SDCC Doom Infinity Gauntlet!
ÂŁ4 a pop because it's early days, an extra ÂŁ1.50 for painted, which is far less than Vort or Glassman for painted. Shield Agent, Ultron & Kree army builder heads, unmasked Daken & Bullseye, Dum Dum Dugan. I've put in my first order, and because he's cast loads, he's got a stock in so the order is shipped out within a day or so, so no 6 month waits. Plus, buy 5+ you get them painted for free! I know I'm going to this guy from now on.

The chair would probably take an entire box of casting rubber so that's $20, $5 for yellow dye, and the resin would probably be about 50gs ~ $7. So the first would most likely cost about $30 and then about $7 for each one after.
I think $15 is a fair price for it, but I would need to sell 3 before it was worth it. Plus I can see how most people would think $15 for a chair is too much. Looks like Pilk is casting away which is great. I will eventually need that Tombstone, Daken, and maybe some of the others I don't have. |

I'm in for a chair Kdub if it helps the others, you can just ship them in one box to keep that cost down and then we can sort them out from over here,
Pilkster do you have a list of heads? need that Daken and I may as well grab a few more to help out

The figures in the box are re-sealable!
I would take a chair as well Dub. The EE Groot and Star Lord came today. Very nice, not sure what angle Prem1x took that shot but the head is dramatically smaller than I was expecting. Pics later. Groot also has rocker ankles...pretty cool. Really nice non shiny plastic too. Well pleased!

Oh good, I'm glad the head is working. It's the same body as the BAF Groot I've got to start of my Guardians. I still need everyone in the 3-pack and Gamora. I think I might go the She Hulk custom with her.

The face, which in humans is mathematically 1/3 of the head from a profile and only 1/2 of the head when viewed straight on, follows the same maths. When it is done you will the size is not as differential as that pic from Prem1x. In fact, it works better than I thought. Also, just pop the pins on the lower articulation on both elbows and knees....and you already have a 95% finished custom. Also, Star Lord comes with a perfect and better scaled Cosmic Cube. Perfect for MU. I think the body of Groot could make a nice upgrade to the BAF or to the knock off, if anyone would like it. Also, not only does the legs have rockers, but has a fully hinged and swivelled wrist. Bonus.
