Truth be told, I wasn't trying to one up anyone or flex my internet muscles...was just trying to get in on the fun. I mean, I'm sure I'm not alone when I assume that show and tell was one of everyone's favorite days at school growing up, right? Truthfully...I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one here who appreciates Jason and the Friday the 13th series in general. Everyone has some really awesome collections! Evilekim...Great part 4 costume. You do Ted White proud! Just curious, where did you get your over hood...or is it a full mask? I'm so jealous that you got to meet Richard Brooker...he was my fave Jason! At Phoenix Comic Con, I got to meet Lexa Doig (Part 10) while in my Jason get up. Unfortunately I was not able to get a pic as she was charging quite a bit for a photo op, (Phoenix Comic Con was a giant money trap I tell you...) but she was really sweet and a very good sport, especially when I told her I wanted a rematch! Dolemite: Damn...you got that Mezco part 6 Jason...highly jealous. I never once ran into that guy in the wild...and it drives me batty how much he goes for on Ebay. I want that accessory of Sissy's (Renee Jones) head so badly! I have the Sideshow FvJ Jason as well, but without the teddy bear sadly (mine has the flaming machete.) Good deal! Blue Marvel: I could not possibly agree with you even more about the state of today's horror movies. I'm hoping all this found footage/ghost & demon nonsense gives way to the slasher again at some point, because these ghost movies apparently think that the only way to scare people is for them to be randomly grabbed or dragged from behind by some unseen force...and that jump moment is often ruined every time thanks to commercial editors who cannot help themselves and spoil it in every trailer or commercial for each feature! People tell me all the time that slashers aren't scary, and to them, I just explain the psychology behind it...what are you going to be more scared of...a coffee mug randomly falling off your table, or a guy in a mask with a ten inch knife trying to stab you to death? And thank you to everyone for the kind words regarding my son and our choice of names. While it's messed up that us parents often plan out our kid's lives, I hope that one day I can bring him to a con of some sort as young Tommy Jarvis, and giggle under my breath as I have him "hack" me to death in an exhibition hall while the easily offended look on in horror....lol. Yeah. I'm messed up like that. And before I forget, true story. When our son was born earlier this year, my wife and I got numerous inquiries on how we came up with his name. For those older in law types that we knew would be horrified by the origins, we told them that he was named after the two greatest Power Rangers ever....Tommy and Jason, all the while giggling under our breath. =P |

This thread is turning into something special!
Personally, I never thought anyone here was trying to out-do the other...like Trivial Psychic said, it's just Jason fans sharing what they love, which is a good thing. Anyway, yeah, that Part 6 Mezco Jason has been one of my favorite figures for a while now...I also have the Mezco Part 3 and 4 figures, but they went in a box once I got my hands on the NECA versions due to space constraints. But I've always liked the job Mezco did on the Part 6 figure, moreso than their Part 3 and 4 ones. I intend to maintain a place for him in my display once NECA releases their Part 6. And here's a few pics of my custom hock...I wanted a somewhat generic design, not exactly matching any one movie. I requested Crash to come up with something similar to the Part 6 hock but a bit cleaner, and with elastic straps as opposed to leather ones. Kind of a combo of the Part 6 hock and the hock the "dream" Jason was wearing in Part 5. I love how it came out. And here I am last year at Halloween...if Tommy had actually used a chain THAT big, Jason might never have escaped the lake, lol. And here's a close-up of my Sideshow teddy bear-lovin' Jason (he also came with two machetes, a bloody one and a flaming one). Glad I got him when I did, as he's going for pretty insane dough now. As in "I would never be able to afford that shit now" dough. I dunno, the idea of Jason having a teddy bear just seems so right to me. Note my (comparatively) little Revoltech Part 3 Jason figure at the bottom of the pic (in-between the Funko Pop plush and Mighty Muggs figure). That thing is fun, and he came with an insane amount of accessories, including (yes) an ax that plugs into his head and a tiny barn dio. Last edited by Dolemite; 08-04-2015 at 09:25 AM.. |

Love seeing everyone's Jason collections. Some really cool stuff in there. My Jason collection is small, but will be growing. I've got a mix of the NECA and Funko figures. I do want to eventually ad some of the older releases in as well.

Be prepared to dig deep if you go after any of the old Mezco Parts 3, 4 and 6 figures...those things are going for pretty crazy money these days.

Thanks for the heads up. It'll be more about what I really like in general. I'd be mostly happy with NECA versions. Maybe a bust or two, perhaps maybe eventually go after one of the Sideshow figures.

Yeah, the NECA versions of the aforementioned figures are the best, so unless you're a completist (with a lot of disposable income) and just HAVE to have the Mezcos, feel free to skip 'em.
The Mezco ones are neat in their own ways (especially the Part 6 one), but overall are kinda dated...for example, the sculpts are much more simple compared to the NECA stuff and they're all pretty much statues from the waist down. The Sideshow ones still hold up quite nicely, however, and a little more worth the money, IMO. They were really ahead of their time. Last edited by Dolemite; 08-04-2015 at 11:49 AM.. |

It was a Don Post mask. Funny part was there was no price tag on it and I had no odea what it cost. I just had to had to have it. They ended up ringing it up for $8.95! Guess it was meant to be. Ted White is one of my faves! Met him too but I didn't post it |

Oh yeah, forgot about this wacky fella. Won him from a claw machine at my local diner one night. Isn't he cute?
I also get a kick out of the "please remove my tag before playing with me" bit. |
