like you say your problem is one thing but then you go on to reveal a lot of really socially regressive leanings...
I don't think it's lazy storytelling. It's a soft reboot, like New 52 except done sort of right. The fact is that most of these characters have been around since the 60s/70s and unfortunately things were a lot less progressive than they are nowadays. A lot of groups got shut out of feeling like they could be heroes too, and that's really hurtful. The movies are largely white dude fests, which isn't a lot of fun for someone like me who wants to see She Hulk, or Kamala Khan, or Wasp, or god forbid a character who's queer like me(Valkyrie? Idk, not that many queer characters in Marvel really esp. outside of X-verse). It's not about offending people. It's about making sure that as many people as possible. Plus, it helps keep things fresh and interesting and gives you more archetypes, character histories etc. to draw from. Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan is a great example of that. It wouldn't be the same comic if she wasn't Muslim, even if her being Muslim isn't really the central point of it. There's no reason why we should only pander to straight white cis dudes. Writing it off as "offence" thing is deeply disrespectful towards everyone like me. I honestly don't feel comfortable hearing the term PC at all and would appreciate you didn't use it. It's not because I'm somehow oversensitive, it's because i have a long history of bullying, abuse and even violence that couldn't imagine. I've dealt with a lot more than most people. And I think I deserve more respect than to be treated like a whiny baby, which tbh describes most entitled white dude geeks more accurately anyway. When you complain about PC what you're really saying is "I don't respect you as a human being in the slightest." You're saying you don't care about other people's struggles, or don't want to hear about them. You're writing off equality as part of some liberal conspiracy rather than a very real need for a lot of people. We need to call a spade a spade and not pretending that this sort of thing is a cute opinion - it's not. It's malice. And I would really appreciate if people stopped doing it. |

Looking at EMH season 3 concept art and found this. It's a shame it got cancelled. And this episode would have been so funny with all the possible references about Chris Evans being Captain America and the Human Torch.

Would have been sweet. Still could happen on avengers assemble. Just change wasp to widow and boom. Now I hope they do it

Thanks but no thanks on taking my mutants! As they've all been fairly recent purchases, my toy chi is practically nonexistent! What are you saving for?
From what I've researched on the topic, I believe so. The custom was hollowed out and repainted. My figure has to do some serious yoga posing to fit inside! EDIT: Added some images for scale. sooo much more accurate scale-wise than the 3 3/4 one.

I was able to snap a few pics today. Some of my favorite figures in my collection and some Anti-Venom pics.

From this experience I have learned a very important lesson that applies to all of you. Always, always look very hard at pictures before purchasing. I can't stress this enough.

I've got a an Anti MIB and his paint is crap too. I think the Movie figs just don't get the love that the main lines receive. look close at the black paint chips, are they really just a poor paint job? if they are scuffs there will be a pattern. mine is almost missing his whole right third down spider arm. I just think he was in a "kids" line so the QC was lax.
P.S. love your punisher in those pics! the coat flows nicely. |

The Anti-Venom in these pics was what I was saving for. If you guys look hard, you can see a lot of problems with the Anti-Venom figure. The guy I bought it from said I was collector owned. It had to be owned by a child before he got it. There's a lot of chipped off paint on the back and it's been through Hell. No collector would mistreat a figure like that unless he grew up with it. And obviously, he didn't grow up with it. But it's my fault for not noticing the blemishes prior to purchasing it. But despite all of this, I am very, VERY happy with my purchase. Anti-Venom is an amazing figure and easily my favorite figure in my collection. If only I looked harder before I purchased it I would have offered a lower price. Again, still extremely satisfied with my purchase. From this experience I have learned a very important lesson that applies to all of you. Always, always look very hard at pictures before purchasing. I can't stress this enough.

So you're saying that most of the flaws on my Anti-Venom is not because it was played with but rather because of bad quality control? Maybe I'm not reading it right since it's 1:30 AM. Also, thanks for the Punisher compliments! He's one of my favorite figures to modify and put a of different accessories on because there are so many choices.
Punisher is fun to play with! you can pretty much make him look like anything from Frankenstein to a dude in a t shirt and he's good to go. |

If that's the case then I'm not that upset about it. Also, is anyone else having the problem with the parts stretching out above this figure's head being cut off a little. Just wanna know if that is also a quality control problem.

Love that Dark Phoenix pic, LapuLapu! So disappointed that we haven't got a green Phoenix, though.

Thanks for the suggestion on mounting repainted Ms. Marvel head on original Ms. Marvel body to create Dark Ms. Marvel figure. I know it is not perfect but it is adequate substitute for my Dark Avengers team.

Looks great! I would not have even bothered repainting it but that does look more accurate. Great job on the eyes.

I think it could be cool for him to confront Mysterio. Since (I'm assuming) Quentin Beck will still be around it would be interesting to see OML handle the guy who tricked him into killing the X-men in his time but Mysterio would have no clue why he's being targeted. I love a good Mysterio story.
