Started working on my first custom project:
It's coming along much better than I thought it would, although still not perfect. I have to do a bit more touching up plus I have to also get the head from the casting cave. |

If the way the current Joe stuff is moving in my local area is an indication, I'm not sure a Black Series style Joe line would succeed unless they do something along the line of Mattel's MOTUC line, and make it a subscription service. Even the army builder sets are pegwarming hard. Now granted, they do this subscription service with the 3.75" collector's club already, but the only reason I haven't gotten into that myself is because dropping 30+ dollars on a 3.75" figure comprised of mostly kitbashing (not to mention some ridiculously 3rd or 4th string characters) is rather outrageous. I would however be more willing to sign up and to drop that on 6inch CC, Baroness, or Firefly, if it were made available and came with decent accessories. Sorry if I sidetracked this thread with the Joe talk...back to Marvel...lol. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 11-29-2015 at 02:19 PM.. |

Brilliant display zoffy, love the customs/mods there! Are you just going to plonk the Series 1 Cap head on the new figure when it comes out then, or are you going to stick with your own creation?

On another note, just walked into my local Target to a buy 2 get one on all action figures today only sale. Ended up with two Chameleons I never intended to buy (even bought the arm from PhantomCrow) and another Scarlet as I want to follow Jin's custom symbiote formula once I get my Superior Venom. |

Thanks VP... I'm gonna stick with my custom in the display, but probably pick up the new Cap for the accessories. I'm not a fan of the stock arms on the Reaper body, and the boots on the new figure aren't my thing.

My TRU has the Shield 3 pack on sale for $21 today when I was there so I picked one up. I'm going to use Coulson's body to go with Matt's head if I ever get the Walgreens DD, Fury's body for the Red Skull head that will be coming with the Classic Cap figure next year, and I'm not sure what I want to do with Maria's body right now.

I got an extra 3 pack too. No clue what I'll do with Maria yet. I'm open to ideas.

I just snagged the last one in stock nearby- via online (to be picked up by me later this week). Good looking out! & nice custom plans too. |

Very good start, Symbi! Glad to see another Arker begin the customizing journey; you're on your way to enjoying and thinking about toys in a whole new way. =)

And buying up every sale figure you can get your hands on because you think "oh, I could use that for a custom...something". I bought another Shield pack last night. Cheap figures are my bane...I have an illness hahaha.

Haha, SO true man... my back log of "custom ideas" is several drawers and storage crates deep nowadays. Guess I can catch up during retirement? =P

Didn't have enough to snag the SHIELD three-pack at TRU yesterday, but I did nab a Batroc for $13-ish! Also, after seeing him on the peg, my wife wants a Kraven figure.
So glad that ML is actually worth the money to me these days. I've been kind of burned out on Transformers lately (overuse of the same few molds + higher costs making me picky), but I have yet to regret spending $20 (or less!) on a nice ML. That upcoming Cap wave is gonna be the death of me, though. Bunch of characters I really want (Tasky, Mockingbird, Whirlwind, and Cottonmouth) plus a BAF I can't turn down (Onslaught, once the Rogue gets released with his head)? I'll be getting that whole damn wave. By the by, has anyone seen a Misty Knight that doesn't have severe lazy-eye? |

Ok seriously? Coulson and Chameleon have the same buck and even skin tone. Then they up and give Chameleon a slightly larger head peg. I was all set to slap JJJ's head on one of my extra Coulson bodies but nope, peg hole is too big. WTH Hasbro? Anyone have a good method for filling in part of a peg hole on a head?

Um... so I bought the Walgreens DD and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... the neck peg on Coulson's body is too small. How are people putting the head on it?

Does anyone know whether the Black Widow/Maria Hill feet can be comfortably swapped for the Spider-Girl ones, or should I invest in a dremel? Loathe those those heels, they're the bane of a poser's existence.
Ah right man, it's good that you're still preferring your own work that you spend a long time on. I spent ages on a 90's Rogue custom and finished it two weeks before the superior Hasbro figure was announced. Ain't that the way. |

You can also paint over the ball peg with clear nail polish. A few coats can be very good in filling in space, as well as tightening joints. |

Anyone else notice Target has pulled the Legends 3 pack off their website? Couldn't find it anywhere on there.
