I use museum putty to fill the gaps for loose heads. It works great and causes no damage to the figures.

Ok seriously? Coulson and Chameleon have the same buck and even skin tone. Then they up and give Chameleon a slightly larger head peg. I was all set to slap JJJ's head on one of my extra Coulson bodies but nope, peg hole is too big. WTH Hasbro? Anyone have a good method for filling in part of a peg hole on a head?
Awesome! Thanks! |

When it's only a slightly larger gap, or if a head is a little wobbly or loose, I take a small piece of paper napkin and place it inside the head cavity before popping it on. If it is only a slighy difference, 9 times out of ten this will do the trick.
You can also paint over the ball peg with clear nail polish. A few coats can be very good in filling in space, as well as tightening joints. Quote:
Just tried a few pieces of paper towel and it worked very well. I will probably opt for something like the putty in the log term but this worked great for now. Hrm, I cannot find it either. Time to do some GoogleFu and hope it is strong today. Last edited by Kirathis; 11-30-2015 at 09:22 PM.. |

Oh another Amazon heads up. If anyone still needs the EE Guardians set, it's on Amazon right now for $94.05 with Prime.

I figured soething out. I just stuffed a bit of the card board from wrapping paper in the head and it attached to the Coulson peg without an issue.

Awesome! Thank you both for great suggestions. That was irritating me greatly earlier.

Ah ok, there's the disconnect. Decepticon_Mark was inquiring about the Target Ultron/Hulk/Vision pack which is what I thought you said you just bought.

Hey, I saw some mention of weapons a few posts ago, and I was wondering, does anyone have any recommendations of a fencing foil/rapier that's in scale with the ML figures? I have a Toy Biz Nightcrawler, and for the longest time I've given him a sword stolen from DC Direct Teen Titans Deathstroke (as seen in this photo), but not only is it not quite the right style, but due to Nightcrawler's finger joints, his ability to hold it depends on numerous unseen factors (like what phase the moon is in that day).
Any suggestions? |

Haha I'm the opposite sort of, I had to make a decision and get rid of most of my ML's now, as much as I love Marvel, kind of sticking with Marvel Koto statues and 3.75 for now. Plus there's a few ML's out there that I missed and don't want to spend more then necessary to get them right now. Anyone need the Domino/CB 2 pack, I got it for 80 so wanting to get my $ back for what I paid for it. PM me if interested. But yeah I feel you on the TF's to a certain degree, but the fact that they can do more then Marvel has me sold. Last edited by Exodus; 12-01-2015 at 04:44 PM.. |

For me, I guess part of it is nostalgia - I spent a good portion of the 1990s collecting Toy Biz's Marvel lines, so seeing good-quality figures at retail hits that sweet spot for me. Also, with the Transformers, I just feel that lately I'm more likely to get my money's worth with an ML (or an imported TF in certain cases) - Combiner Wars has really worn me down with the mold reuse. I know ML is also guilty of that, but it doesn't seem to be as glaring as it is with TFs.

I would not be surprised if they took it off the site because they discovered their error with the DCPI number and the last set which was allowing people to price match it. |

I actually purchased a plexi bender a few years ago. Made a couple displays and it has been sitting in my garage ever since. I wanted clear risers so that the light would not get completely blocked on the first shelf. The plexi bender was cheap, but I had to assemble it myself. It is basically the coil that heats up in toasters and hair dryers streched in a straight line. I made all those risers for about $30 |
