I am a HUGE fan of chinabay Ursa, I hope this doesn't put you off. And I agree with your thoughts about master's (maybe even Gamora) and loads of 6" with 7 different hands, swappable heads, baf pieces, a compass on the stock and this thing that which tells time. (Ralphie reference) EDIT: shite... forgot it's pancake Tuesday! Good call Oscar...now tea is sorted!

They aren't rejects. These are SURPLUS firsts. Not seconds, not rejects, factory firsts. They would have never been approved for final apps (the GotG badge) as they have went through several inspections before then. This is the SAME quality figure you would have seen on card in store. Just how it is now. Lower everything- quality, articulation, paint control. Everything lowered except price.
As for Hasbro using different factories, I don't see it happening. I have read about talks of it, but think they will stick with what they have. The factories will most likely be staying in China. Just watched a news film on manufacturing in India versus China. The factory itself doesn't belong to Hasbro so it isn't theirs to move. Until a decent is built to compete, the Chinese factory will still get awarded the Hasbro contract I am pretty sure. Too many unknowns and we all know they have enough quality control issues as it is. Imagine the same factory that produces Chap Mei making Hasbros figures! The horror. Did it again Kernal! Quote:
I did grab most of the new ML wave, just need Spider-Man Noir, can't believe I'm paying 13 bucks for these. Hope there's some type of TRU sale coming up for Marvel figures...although funny they dropped the MI prices down to 8... Last edited by Exodus; 02-09-2016 at 11:13 AM.. |

They cut the price from 12 to 9 here in UK according to all the arkers that have come across them. That is the new retail and not a sale price, so maybe that trend could carry over

Ah. Like I said, this was my first experience doing this so I was unclear exactly what the deal is with figures of this nature.
As for what I expect to see at ToyFair from Hasbro in this scale, I think we'll see the paint master versions of 2016 Wave 3 (Quasar, et al) but not much else beyond that. I'm sure there will be a giant whack of 6-inch stuff though. Naturally. *sigh* |

This is my Hybrid MCU/Comic team. I've got a Mack coming from Pilk that I can't wait to add and an idea for Agent Hunter. I do not like Modkingbird and may just go with the MU figure or maybe the Adrianne Palicki head on the comic figure
I've got some generic troopers to add. Also I have an idea for Victoria Hand, but I'm not sure if I go SHIElD or Hydra for her. I'm open to any more LBC's if you guys can think of them. I am also working on Hydra. I've got LBC MCU Ward, Alexnder Pierce, Gideon Malick, John Garrett and LBC comic Crossbones, Sin, Viper and WIP Strucker. Tea means dinner/supper/evening meal, not a drink. Tea time is when you eat at the end of the day with your family around a table and discuss how your day went. Afternoon tea- is posh with tiny sandwiches and cookies and drinking actually tea (with milk in) with your pinkie out. No one really does that though, special mother daughter day maybe. To recap: I'm having pizza for me tea- means at 6 pm (or so) I will be enjoying Italian style tomato based cheese topped baked dough.

I apologetically love Coulson. That figure is sort of my custom Holy Grail. I don't think we will ever get an official one. So I started my quest to assemble one. I discovered Glassman from one of your posts. He painted the head. The torso and arms are from Vort and the legs are from an MIB figure. I'd love an official one, but this works for me.

Just got back from Deadpool, it was excellent! I think they got the character down pretty well. No spoilers, however, there is something in there us 3.75" collectors will appreciate looking forward to others seeing it and sharing their opinions.
^^^ you must of gone to an earlier screening, I couldn't get to the pictures till 9pm, but well worth it. Last edited by Oscarv; 02-10-2016 at 05:01 PM.. |
