Let me get this straight;
1. Most who wanted a Finn already have the now peg-warming Finn 2. Most who wanted Rey got her early or paid double for her on Ebay 3. Most who wanted BB-8 paid $15 for a three pack, the other two (Unkar thugs?) most probably don't care about. 4. Now, Hasbro wants us to buy a 4-pack for $20 for three figures that most already have and one figure they don't. Who are the sheisters that come up with this stuff!? So, we have to pay $20 for Maz. I will wait and get here from a broken set on Ebay. Not only that, Hasbro should know by now, after 30+ years, that collectors make up a significant part of their Star Wars market and collectors prefer to have single card, MOC figures for their collection. We have been getting a lot of 2+ packs for this new movie. So frustrating. |

Defi itely a figure set that, for me, will be worth getting as I don't already have Rey, Finn, or BB-8. Though it definitely sucks for those that do and want a Maz.

Not only that, but I want the full black series full articulation 3.75" ones. And there's been no word on more since that initial Wal-Mart series :/

I'd buy a Maz for nearly $20 in the 3.75 black series. None of this 5POA for me thanks. Especially when I now have the Black series Finn and Rey this would just be a huge waste of my money.
Bring on the 3.75 Black Series Phasma, dagnabbit. |

All those pictures do is make me want to build a Takadona tabletop diorama and fill it with much better figures.

And collectors should know that Hasbro is prone to repackaging stuff all the time and an appearance in THIS multipack doesn't preclude a single release down the line. Anyway... The box set has me intrigued as I doubt EW would get a store exclusive preview, yet, Hasbro hasn't revealed anything about a new multipack assortment. I wonder if it will be some sort of "scene packs" from various films, it would be an easy way to get more stuff out there (especially stuff like this pack) without a significant development cost. Stormtrooper looks to be a STar Wars implementation of the Electronic/Talking features being integrated into higher end Marvel Titan Series. If he has the Wilhelm scream, I think it will be a hot item among fans. |

(Many do wait for holidays.) 3. Some don't. I know I don't, and this set is perfect for me except for not having light sabers. (Many do wait for holidays.) 4. A set with the most sought after characters of the line? And it has two female figures in it? The characters everyone wants? Yeah, I wonder why they did that. I mean it's not like they were the stars of the movie or anything... You also forgot one key thing about your star wars toys sales data. Except in movie years and surrounding years. The general public buys more merchandise than collectors especially in those years. Which is what we're in right now. Media pushes merchandise at higher volume than collectors could ever match. So the toons and the movies and their characters and headline roles take priority. Hence this set. And it'll do really well on shelves too, especially with the holiday season and dvd release when the merchandise will have a heavy appeal among all audiences. Hasbro knows what they are doing. |

Every Star Wars character gets a figure. I'm surprised that anyone's surprised.

She didn't suck she just wasn't there a lot but thankfully we'll get some more screen time and hopefully more credibility. Like in RotS General Grievous sucked, all he did was run away, get some hands severed, and then unceremoniously got shot in the lungs. To kick us while we're down and throw some salt in our wounds Grievous couldn't possibly make any more movie appearances to increase his rep and then in the now declared only canon non-movie appearance he has with the new Clone Wars cartoon he was still presented as weak and inefficient. That straight up sucked. Phasma was just short-changed on time but could be cooler with the next movie.

I will be getting on site!!!!! Thank you Hasbro!
The Black Series 3.75" is officially dead now I think. I am all in on the new FA line and loving it! Sure it is only 5 poa but keep them on there own and don't mix them and they look great. Besides, they new film characters don't belong with the old ones anyway.#TimeForAnotherShelf....This is the new standard 3.75" we will be seeing for the next 5-8 years...get used to it. I am, once you accept that you can enjoy hunting and collecting this line. Hasbro has made the game fun again to me.

This is my sons Resistance shelf. We have a spot for her!! Right beside Rey. In front of the Resistance Troopers will go Ackbar (on order and due to arrive shortly) and beside Chewie goes Old Han (also on order and en route) with room behind them for Master Luke and General Leia (not if but when they are made) and it will be mostly finished...for now!
I think when I get the box set I will give Rey, Finn and BB-8 away to a child to enjoy. I loved them as a kid in the eighties and hope someone else who wouldn't otherwise have that opportunity grow up with that memory as well. Never mind eBay! Also, throwing in a pic of his First Order shelf as it is currently. We plan to add MANY more to it. As you can see, this line looks GREAT when displayed on its own. If you mix it with highly articulated figures of coarse they will look goofy. On their own merit I am impressed by them! Let the haters hate. (And yes, I will be hanging the upper two Tie Fighters soon...ish) my son is on at me about it, need to make a trip to DIY shop this weekend I guess.

Looking forward to ToyFair NYC this weekend for other FA announcements... REALLY hoping for Kylo Ren command shuttle, single release of TR-8R, other First Order officers, and of course Luke and Leia.
Really happy to see the Entertainment Weekly shoot with HER though!
