If It IS a sentinel, I might be up for it. Always could use a second one. A second Apocalypse ...not so much. A first Sauron, Nimrod or Shadow King...yasss.

The newest Deadpool Figure we are getting is the one shown on the front page of ToyArk.

12 inch Legends...Legends props.... How about accessory packs of things like weapons Hasbro? Finding stuff in scale with Legends is a pain in the ass and/or half the cost (read as Little Armory) of a Legends figure.
Sadly as much as I would love this, there probably just is not a big enough market for it. Sorry Punisher and Deadpool, no massive armories for you. |

Normally there is an onslaught of Movie Figures Pre Movie. So that not happening for Deadpool Movie means the new ML DP Figure is the closest we will get. There are honestly not enough characters in the film to justify any at this point in time.

True. Deadpool Colossus is a beast and should get a figure.

Saw the Red Onslaught wave at Walmart today. I couldn't believe Mockingbird was still there, so I snatched her up.

I'm sure no one cares, but I got the Agents of SHIELD 3 pack today from Amazon (Damaged package for cheap). I'm not entirely sure how I missed it; I saw them at retail (my closest 2 TRU's didn't have any stock when they had that big sale for $35 or whatever it was), then they each got in a dozen or so and they just stayed there. I was waiting for a sale or something, some incentive, then the holidays came and went and the next time I visit, they're all gone.
Figured I missed my chance until I saw them on Amazon, then this week I saw the Amazon warehouse deal for a damaged set for less then $30 and snapped it up. It arrived today and it's pretty cool. I finally used the extra Banner body I had and put the non sunglasses Agent head on it for a more relaxed later season Director Coulson, though it took a considerable amount of force to get that head onto that body. |

Could also steal a hand off of that Nick Fury for a S3 Coulson.

It is a sad day when we realize that the lies we tell ourselves are just that. Oh my Legends lies, how I will miss you.
Today's journey of self discovery began with a stop at TRU in search of Taskmaster, Scourge and perhaps (because I have convinced myself I need as many Shield agents as possible) Mockingbird and Sharon Carter. Of the four, only Scourge was had. Then as I stood there staring at the 4 Caps and 2 Copperheads, the lone Whirlwind appeared in my hand. A figure I had no intention of buying and quite frankly always thought looked somewhat ridiculous. And yet, said figure left the row, was carried to the checkout line and promptly purchased. Fast forward to about an hour ago as I head from work to Meijer for groceries. Hey, I may as well make a swing by the currently being revamped toy isle with those virtually empty Legends pegs right? Just a couple Rhino wave figures but hey, stacks of toy boxes and an eager to help and only slightly judgy employee ready to help me look through them. What should I find? A box containing the illusive Taskmaster which began today's journey? No. Rather a full box of the Absorbing Man wave. Of this wave, the only figure I had full intention of buying was Ben Reilly. Spider-Gwen was a possibility. I do not understand the hype but I dig the costume design and can always use more female characters. And yet, as I stand there holding both, I begin to debate the remainder of the case. As a relatively new collector, the only Venom in my collection is of the Agent variety and the new one is quite impressive. Morbius, Beetle and Jack hold virtually no interest for me. However Speed Demon holds unexpected appeal. As I pull the four figures from the box and place them in my cart, the still slightly judgy employee takes the box and heads to stock the remainders on the peg, thankfully averting my gaze long enough to prevent me from buying more than the 4 I had. So what does this ungodly long-winded post mean? If you (lets face it, did not skip over my ramblings) recall, this post began with a comment about lies we tell ourselves. I have long stated that I hope for waves of figures I do not care about and thus will not need to buy with a few I do want mixed in here and there. And yet, as I look at the more than one Wolverine (perhaps my most loathed character, Deadpool RULES, Wolvie DROOLS) in my collection, along with the entire Ant-Man wave which I had no intention of buying and then saw the movie, I find I am without a doubt completely full of crap. I am a slave to these 6" plastic characters and my willpower is but a dream with new figures in my sights. Last edited by Kirathis; 02-13-2016 at 01:05 AM.. |

Well, maybe I don't need that BAF, or I can get that part secondhand later on for cheap. (looks at incomplete Mandroid) You know, if I get the figures now, I don't have to worry about secondhand prices for some insane to get part or one with bad paint that they're trying to dump to some fool online. Occasionally my interests change or some character gets a retcon or new usage that makes me appreciate this character now. That could happen with these figures I'm not all that interested in. Or maybe I can repurpose them as something else. (in hand) I'm really just buying the BAF part and getting the figure for free! I guess I'm lucky, Allfather Thor is the only recent BAF that got me like that, but it's the same cycle in the past; Apocalypse and Sentinel (And DCUC Kalibak). |

I have the Ultron BAF simply because I saw Ant-Man and loved it so I had to have the figure. Randomly decided at TRU that I wanted Giant Man, Bulldozer and Wasp as well. After that I got caught up in the "well I may as well just buy the last two and finish the BAF" mentality. I seem to do that a lot. Something tells me I will end up with Morbius, Jack and Beetle at some point as well. The really sad part is all I end up doing is unboxing them, putting them in bags and putting them in boxes in my closet since I have little to no display room.

The big lie I tell myself is that I'll sell off the figures I'm less interested in. Sentry, Iron Fist, Batroc, Blizzard, Speed Demon, Morbius etc. Still have them all.

I don't believe those rumours. They build on the extract released days before, and the day before the rumours were posted people were already speculating it was War Machine that would die because he is both Iron Mans' friend and Carol Danvers love interest. I also don't think Marvel are dumb enough to kill off a prominent & popular African American hero AND a popular superheroine in the same issue solely to motivate other characters.
I think he's just playing off peoples willingness to believe the worst in Bendis.

With that rampant rumour that Jen and War Machine are going to die in the opening of Civil War II (prompting Carol to turn full-on preemptive tyrant), I don't know if she'll survive long enough to get another shot... Regardless, I think it's criminal that she hasn't received another figure thus far. When I think of female Avengers, she comes to mind before most others.

The big lie I tell myself is I won't get some of the figures I ultimately know I'll get. There's a few that I know I won't get for real, but it's like the Absorbing Man wave, I was going to just get Morbius and Jack, and here I am looking for just Venom now - aside from Spider-Gwen which I have no interest in getting as it doesn't contain a unique BAF part.
The next upcoming lie is likely the X-Wave. I know I'll get the Rogue, I SAY I won't get any others except maybe Havok or Kitty Pryde, because I'd rather have new figures, but unless the BAF is awful I know what's going to happen..... |
