Well it's taken them this long to do a Kate Hawkeye figure. Sometimes Hasbro is a few beats behind, haha.

Are they a few beats behind or is Kate Bishop just not very relevant?
We're not going to see the Jane Foster Goddess of Thunder until we get another Avengers or Thor themed wave. So late this year, or next year. |

So what are the odds the Winter Soldier and Falcon two-pack is MCU? I really think Falcon's Civil War outfit is awesome.
Hoping that War Machine with the disco Iron Man is his Mark III armor. She's been a pretty popular character for a while and was a major part of the recent critically acclaimed Hawkeye series. And she was also excluded from the Young Avengers box set they did a while back for some reason. |

ahhhh super happy about Kate, Silk JEAN AND KITTY!!!!! I'm upset kitty didn't come with a katana and holding hand, but whatever, Kitty looks fantastic. That Jean is the greatest Jean ever.
Also Kate has been around for a decade now, she was essentially the Dani Moonstar of the young avengers, but the Faction/Aja kate was awesome. that LA Woman arc was fantastic

Avengers Movie Legends Iron Man 2 Legends Thor Movie Legends Black Series Battlefront Trooper (never saw it.) Black Series 3.75" Current Series (still can't find anything outside of Endor Han) Amazing Spider-Man Legends (ever wonder why so many people have been screaming for Miles Morales for years?) Marvel Legends Exclusitivity in the late 2000s. (Also impossible to find at times, and was the death kiss to the line at the time. Commonly referred to as the "dark days" of Marvel Legends. Had I been in that room at Toy Fair, the second they would have said "Walmart Exclusive" I would have thrown my feces at the rep. Or at least my shoes. I definitely would have given him the bird. Walmart and TRU are HORRIBLE when it comes to exclusives. Hell, Walgreens has handled exclusives better than Walmart, and they are a regional based DRUGSTORE. I would have much preferred an Amazon, Entertainment Earth, or BBTS exclusive over those places. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 02-13-2016 at 05:07 PM.. |

I think that was only due to the case ratio, Stryfe is very niche, he could have been a 1 per case, cyclops and wolverine are made all the time, they peg warmed, Storm and Magneto don't have many legends and they have HUGE followings, of course people wanted Storm, and she was a fantastic figure.

I could go into a long rant about Walmart Exclusives, but instead I will highlight some of their current and past failures, most which were poorly distributed and we're impossible to find, making them ridiculously priced on the secondary market

Yeah my Wal-Mart isn't even good about getting the non-exclusive releases, let alone exclusives. Ugh.
And apparently both of the Ultimate Spider-Men come with alternate heads. Sweeeeet. |

I was only interested in Rogue from the X-Men wave but after seeing pictures i'll definitely get the entire wave. I'll probably even preorder which I rarely do. I heard the wave is releasing in the fall which probably means we won't get a second wave this year or at all. Disappointed because I was really hoping for a Jim Lee Cyclops.
Red Guardian, Nuke, and about 5 Fury's to add to my existing SHIELD agents. The rest of the Second Cap wave i'll pass. The Scarlet Witch looks fantastic. I don't collect movie figures but i'll make an exception for her. Disappointed in the Spider-Man figures. Miles is a definite purchase since the previous release had horrible articulation. The Toybiz Hobgoblin can't be beat so I'm passing on this new Hobgoblin. I don't read any new comics so I have no idea who Silk is so I'm passing on her. |

I'm a little jealous of the 3.75" line...Quasar, Rage, Hydro Man ( have the ML one, but don't know why exactly), and Living Laser. I guess we'll get them eventually.

IN case no one noticed , Hobgoblin has 2 heads also. A classic look and the early 90's demonic Hobgoblin with tongue. This is how how was when he made a deal with a demon and then when the demon was removed the demon became Demogoblin. ( a separate entity)
And I kind of hope Kate Bishop is in the outfit from the Young Avengers days. I still have that old box set of figures and would love to add her to it. AND I am also really glad about how many figures are coming with extra heads and hands, and accessories now. I also see a few people making the Secret Wars Captain America into the Civil War Punisher. Since that outfit was what Frank wore with an added skull to it and all. I haven't heard anything about Kate Bishop in a couple years (not counting hardcore fan demand) so that's why I suggested she's not very relevant. I guess I was wrong.
That Jim Lee Pinisher would be great if they ditched the giraffe neck. |

Seriously though as a collector of both scales (though only minor on the 6" line) I love to see what both lines do. I might get that Iceman for my 3.75" collection like how I use the Giant Man from the Ultron-BAF wave and the Ultron from the Target 3 pack. It'd be a cool giant ice-clone like he does now or maybe the Sinister-Iceman from Uncanny X-Force. I'd actually like more figures along those lines, like a 6" Apocalypse or something.

Question, do store exclusives tend to go up on the stores' sites?

Lots of great reveals, glad to see Scarlet Witch and Cable both look great. I was hoping over the course of the day we'd get pics of the exclusives, I'm hoping the Falcon is movie and not comic.

Anyone notice that pink colored figure??? I can't for the life of me figure out who the hell he is. Last edited by donmeca2020; 02-13-2016 at 07:24 PM.. |
