Yeah, Like I am barely jumping into Legends and finding a boxed Black Widow at a decent price is well.... almost impossible. (I am not a fan of the AOU 4 pack mold)

Nice Kate Biship and Sam Captain America. I know they're detailed as exclusives but I hope they won't be too hard to find. Though I have my doubts on the Walmart exclusives.

What's up with the thigh-vents? Fashion-forward sensibilities? Greater range of mobility? Ventilation for those missions that require trips to hotter locales? I imagine that a leather belt against bare skin might produce some chafing problems. With all of the recent poking at 90's era heroes, namely their pouches and mullets, today's hero-attire is creating plenty of fodder for future jokes and ribbing.
For those that dig her, forgive my playfulness...just having some fun with a character I'm not all that familiar with...I'll happily add her (and an America Chavez) to my Young Avengers box-set guys. Edit: based on the last couple of posts, I see we are experiencing a bump in the "smartass" quotient here on the Ark...me likes! Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 02-14-2016 at 12:43 PM.. |

To be fair, Google or the Marvel Wiki (or TVTropes, to be honest) could help answer most of those questions.
On-topic: if that Kate is legit, I'm even more sold on her than I already was. Even if it's slow-going, let's hope her and Nico getting included leads to more Young Avengers and Runaways. EDIT: Sweet fancy Moses. I didn't want an MCU Bucky figure, but that photo looks so good... i mean, nothing personal to the dude. and sorry to detract from the main subject- very exciting toyfair. I will say i wish i knew less about what was rumored going into it, because the rhino wave reveal at last years toyfair blew my mind. |

You know it's the same mold as the single Black Widow right? Just with some crummy blue highlights :P (which could probably be removed with acetone) But the Amazon 4 pack is only sixty bucks right now, which is about 15 bucks a figure, cheaper than retail for sure!

Ah you're right, it's the Maria Hill body with some Black Widow parts... Ah well, to each their own!

Marvel Legends Infinite Series - Captain America The Winter Soldier Wave 02 - Set of 4 - Captain America: The Winter Soldier Figures I really like the Bucky/Sam two pack, but the TRU exclusives aren't too great. |

Huzzah! These three are in one pack, if I'm not mistaken? Yes. Bought thrice over.
I LOVE Daniel Acuna's design for Vision (over the Avengers AI look which we saw in last year's Hulkbuster wave), so that's an instant purchase from myself. Kate Bishop looks perfect (complete with waist quiver!!), and FalCap, well, what can you say?! My only worry is that his feet seem to be those of Marvel Now Cap, and they have awful maneuverability. |

@Hasbro
A bit before my time, but now that you mention it, I suppose you are right (ie bell bottoms and velour suits). Everything old is new again...maybe I'll get an Austin Powers fig to display her with |

^^ Aja was oddly drawn the the aesthetic of the 60's during the seminal run he and Fraction took the two Hawkeyes on. It was a psychedelic, Pop Art form of contemporary film noir goodness, with a "Pizza Dog." The series was a tad over-hyped (and delayed beyond belief), but I'd give it a go nonetheless!

I completely disagree. With the sheer amount of effort that people make in order to obtain those SDCC boxsets, they need to know that all that time and money is worth it. SDCC figures should stay exclusive to enhance the appreciation people have for those figures because, unlike regular retail ones, these were "earned."
I know that sounds very elitist, but, what's the point in even having the SDCC set if the figures just get re-released at retail? No-one would bother buying it. To expect anything else is just a recipe for disappointment. Some figures may stay exclusive, but to expect or demand them to stay that way isn't reasonable, molds cost a lot of money and getting their use is how they stay in business. On another note, those packs look nice. Last edited by Pravus Prime; 02-14-2016 at 02:16 PM.. |

I saw someone suggest that since the Miles buck looks so good, Hasbro might be reusing it for other teen boy characters in the future.
Yeah they really don't look very much alike. |

Dammit, Von! I've already picked up Spider Woman's first 3 issues and I'm now trying to acquire the 10-12 issues before the ANADM relaunch! Thanks. I can't do figs and books...maybe I will end up subscribing digitally after all, at least I'd get a Rescue fig for free...

@TBM, Sorry man, I keep throwing all these titles for you to check out. I forgot to mention that you didn't need the first 4 issues of Spider-Woman, since they're a Spider-Verse tie-in.
Also, there's that Namor figure! Now why hasn't he been showcased?! Love the headsculpt, but it's a shame they couldn't transfer some of the scales from the Hobgoblin figure over to the king of Atlantis..! Quote:
That's not at all the model Hasbro uses; look at their Transformers exclusives; every one of them has a mass market release, it's just the deco that's exclusive.
To expect anything else is just a recipe for disappointment. Some figures may stay exclusive, but to expect or demand them to stay that way isn't reasonable, molds cost a lot of money and getting their use is how they stay in business. Yes, plastic prices have risen due to better wage rates in China, but to state that a product which has earned $160,000,000 since its rebrand (as announced at this year's panel, by multiplying that 8 million number by the RRP of $20) cannot afford to sculpt a little more detail on their figures, and keep exclusives exclusive, is a bit of a push. Granted, Hasbro didn't clarify which rebrand they meant (their acquisition in 2006? RoML in 2012? Infinite in 2014?), and 160 million isn't much compared to the 1 billion earned from The Force Awakens products, but it's nothing to sneeze at either. The company is making money, and it does finally seem to be showing that in the trickle-effect of more sculpted parts. The problem is that, outside of off-hand comments in few-and-far-between YouTube interviews, Hasbro's Marvel Legends department doesn't release any solid information for people to look at. Because they don't want us to know how much of a profit (or loss) they're making? Who knows... but the conspiracy thickens. Last edited by VonPooten; 02-14-2016 at 02:45 PM.. |

So I was skeptical, but I need to give credit where credit is due. Based on their record of skipping certain characters, I was not expecting much from Civil War, but in one fell swoop Hasbro has knocked out Black Panther, Cap, Iron Man, Falcon, Bucky, War Machine, and Scarlet Witch.
That's pretty impressive. |

@Von
Thanks for the caveat regarding SW, I'll keep that in mind as I track down the back-issues. I purchased only the relaunched issues, so it's all good in da' hood. Yes, Namor's head sculpt is fantastic (in spite of the character being bereft of one - thanks En Sabah for the spoiler - I kid ). You're right, he could use tooled scales (and a non-Gugnir repaint - from the looks of it), but the 'over-all' is very satisfying. Thanks for the break-down and take on Hasbro's financials. I don't swim in that part of the 'figure pool,' but it was interesting info to digest. We absolutely should expect more. I can't count how many COMPLETE waves I've purchased and I'll take any nod at 'our' loyal patronage that I can get. I was excited to see the Hobgoblin reveal because of the added detail; a very necessary component if they expect to carry the fig home. ...last night, while I was watching the best All-star dunk contest that I've seen in years, I threw together some "X-Legends that time forgot"... Remember all those dudes overpaying (lucky you if you didn't) those Jean Grey Phoenix unreleased molds on ebay? I said eventually they'll release those so why pay so much? Looks like they overpaid for a mediocre figure. The new Phoenix looks a lot better!
