I have wondered for awhile how long it will be before we do have figures with fully functioning skeletons. I have to agree with En Sabah that there is a definite creepy factor involved.
Like squeezeplay, I am also not a fan of the forward lean on the Bullseye neck. While it is true that people have different shapes, postures and ranges of movement, it just seems off. The calf swivel has always been an odd choice, particularly with better ankle rockers. I am sure some might say that the ankle rockers allow for too much movement but as TBM pointed out, the feet tend to be a place where people have more varied ranges of motion. For instance, I can rock my feet inward and stand on the outside edges of my feet. |

@Squeeze
Ok, I understand now what you were getting at. I'm still going to take a look at the figs in question to see why the design flaw you pointed out is so limiting. @Kirathis Thanks to your greater powers of eversion and inversion at the point of your ankles, you have the potential to be an expert dancer! Chase your destiny!! |

I saw the post this morning, but the shipping was pretty high, so I didn't order Fury. I am waiting to run into them at retail.

I saw the Black Panther at my LCS on display. Man that is a thing of beauty. It was behind glass so I didn't get to hold it, but it could be one of the best Legends ever made just looking at it.

Functionally, you can pretty much do all the same poses, as you can see with the IF figure. It's just more work. Which is the part I hate. |

sometimes these "sellers" are on some bullshit with the outrageous shipping prices. I saw a DBZ fig once for ..whatever the damn price was...BUT the shipping was like 35.00!! I WENT to the actual store (image anime) and asked to get it without the shipping price and he was like...NOPE..it costs more in the store... uhh..wait..WHAT?!?! The in store cost was the exact price of whatever the online price what PLUS shipping..smh

BP is now available from ~$75 on Amazon after sitting at around $50 for the last two weeks (minus whatever happened this morning with the lower cost.) That's just infuriating. Damn online scalpers.

Sometimes, when I find an auction featuring a greedy seller, I'll "watch" the item and never buy. Letting the auction end, then watching it again with each new listing. I do this for many months, sometimes continuing to "watch" even after finding the item for a cheaper price. I find it amusing to string these idiots along, convincing them into believing their shit will actually sell one day once that one "watcher" gets off the fence. The idea that I might be annoying them in some way, feels like a little slice of retribution for their greedy and outrageous pricing.
@Dark Is that store near the Empire State Building? If so, I used to get my anime dvds from there when I worked in Mid-town. |

Sometimes it's market research, an effort to figure out the going rate for something I own. But in most cases, I'm just generally being an ass to someone I consider to be a blight on the "hobby." Recently, I'd been watching some $150-$200 Fury/Hand 2pks. WTF, really? Disgusting.

Here's my question. Why does Amazon only get specific figures in stock during these early times (always the ones that no one wants)? I have an Amazon tracker, and the most wanted figures always take forever for Amazon to get them in stock (if ever). Yet others have no problem being in stock.
I understand the supply/demand, and case ratios, but they don't even get listed on Amazon appropriately, even for tracking purposes. Are Amazon employees getting first crack at these like brick and mortar stores? |

Just a note, the Civil War two pack with War Machine/Disco Man and Namor are in stock at an English retailer (Kapow Toys). Has anyone heard anything regarding the US release date?
I find it odd that we UKers are usually the last to get these figures, yet the Civil War Cap wave came in about a month ago, and now these aswell. Interesting... Ah well, off to watch Civil War! |

Right on. It's limiting because with the 45-degree ones you have to rotate the hip-sphere when trying to bring the leg straight ahead, and rotate it again when moving back to start. With 90-degree hips, you just bring forward, that's all you do.
Functionally, you can pretty much do all the same poses, as you can see with the IF figure. It's just more work. Which is the part I hate. Quote:

Showing a little love for one of the under-rated figures in the new wave, especially now that I've found him some superior firepower to work with.
One note about the mini-review I did for Nuke, I forgot to mention that for some reason, his hands do not have trigger fingers, so if you're planning on using other firearms with this guy, you may have to alter them a bit by carefully cutting in-between the index and middle fingers to create one. This can be risky though, as if you get to zealous you can easily lop off the index finger trying to separate them from the bunch, so do be careful! Once separated though, since the plastic is nice and thick, it does work out rather good and the finger can be placed inside the trigger guard for weapons with large enough space to accommodate them. |

Nuke looks much better with a realistically colored weapon. I can't stand the Nerf gun he came with. I seem to remember one of the Winter Soldier figures having the same issue.

What makes it even weirder is that Hasbro has done realistic weapons before. Hell, one doesn't have to look back further than the Walgreens Exclusive Agent Venom to see realistic looking guns with a figure. I don't get what's the big deal now.

I agree. And Nuke has a pretty awesome knife. Are only knives allowed to look realistic now? He needs a better gun. I think I have some extra laying around that I can give him, but still, that nerf blasters is UGLY.
